A Leatt Brace Adds a Layer of Protection
The idea behind the Leatt Brace started in 2001 when Dr. Chris Leatt saw the death of a rider a week after his son started riding. This event moved him to design a neck brace and in 2004 he introduced the first brace in South Africa and in 2006 it made it to market. In 2007, RacerX gave the brace its 2007 Product of the Year award and Motocross Action gave the brace a 5/5 star rating.
Today, the Leatt brace is available in four models. Most recently, the Leatt GPX Race Neck Brace got a complete redesign and is made from high impact polymer with a completely re-sculpted front using a split design first introduced in 2011 with the Leatt STX brace. It is the only Leatt brace with a rear table height adjustment with 28 mm of movement which allows you to custom fit the brace with your helmet, body shape and riding style.
We also have the moderately priced GPX Trail Neck Leatt Brace and the two high-end models: the Leatt Pro and GPX Pro Lite. The Leatt brace is designed to give your neck and head additional support and protection in the event of a crash. The Leatt Brace works similar to the restraint system used in NASCAR type races in that it limits head movement thus reducing or preventing injury.
Your pick of a Leatt brace is available in several colors and we also stock a full line of padding kits and brace accessories.
