Leatt GPX 4.5 Neck Brace Leatt GPX 4.5 Neck Brace axeman - Leatt GPX 4.5 Neck Brace "I bought this to replace my old Leatt Adventure brace after doing a head plant that caused the Adventure spine piece to do a number on my back. Did its job and saved my neck, but also felt like someone stomped me between the shoulder blades. The Leatt GPX 4.5 Neck Brace is designed to match the Leatt chest protector that I use and enables you to have the removable plastic pieces in place on the CP, which greatly improves the utility of the brace because now the brace supports are not focusing force on small areas of the chest and back, but instead the CP is spreading the force out. Also, the fit with the CP keeps the brace in place much better. I feel like the protection will be 100% better than with the Adventure. Also, the split rear spine on the 4.5 is way more flexy than the single spine on the Adventure and is engineered to break before your back does. Weight, comfort and fit are awesome, look is great with the white on a white CP."

A Leatt Brace Adds a Layer of Protection

The idea behind the Leatt Brace started in 2001 when Dr. Chris Leatt saw the death of a rider a week after his son started riding. This event moved him to design a neck brace and in 2004 he introduced the first brace in South Africa and in 2006 it made it to market. In 2007, RacerX gave the brace its 2007 Product of the Year award and Motocross Action gave the brace a 5/5 star rating.

Today, the Leatt brace is available in four models. Most recently, the Leatt GPX Race Neck Brace got a complete redesign and is made from high impact polymer with a completely re-sculpted front using a split design first introduced in 2011 with the Leatt STX brace. It is the only Leatt brace with a rear table height adjustment with 28 mm of movement which allows you to custom fit the brace with your helmet, body shape and riding style.

We also have the moderately priced GPX Trail Neck Leatt Brace and the two high-end models: the Leatt Pro and GPX Pro Lite. The Leatt brace is designed to give your neck and head additional support and protection in the event of a crash. The Leatt Brace works similar to the restraint system used in NASCAR type races in that it limits head movement thus reducing or preventing injury.

Your pick of a Leatt brace is available in several colors and we also stock a full line of padding kits and brace accessories.
