It will work as a temporary solution, but if you gasket is cracked you'll want to get a new one.

I have 3 of them sitting around that are new and unopened was wondering if I can use them on sealing my crankcase halfs and if not what can I use? Thanks.

We use high temp silicone on all our 2-stroke and 4-stroke exhaust flanges with excellent results.
