Pirelli MT43 Tire Combo Pirelli MT43 Tire Combo CaptCapsize - Corrales, NM, USA Trials design and DOT cert "They are an excellent tire with the only limitation is clay type mud and deep sand. The bad: Since the knob are close together they pack up with mud and lose traction. The are not as good as big knobbies in sand but acceptable. They are a very tall tire so it will raise you seat height noticeably. The good: When aired down to 12 to 15 psi they are amazing in almost all terrain. They stick like glue to the trail and for climbing. At speed in a turn you can feel the when front gradually start slipping giving you a little time to react. When aired to over 20 psi they are quite bouncy offroad."

Pirelli Scorpion Pro Tire Combo Pirelli Scorpion Pro Tire Combo JayD - Auburn, Wa, USA Scorpian Pro tire combo "The Scorpian Pro tires are best suited for Dualsport riders that require an extreme off-road tire and need to be street legal to hook up to the next single track trail. I'm using these tires on a KTM 450. The price and service at MotoSport has always been outstanding!"

Dual Sport Tires for Dirt Bikes

It's not an everyday occurrence but sometimes you'll see a dirt bike pass you. No not on the track or trails, but on the road. Though not ready-made for riding on public highways owners can register their dirt bikes and use their Motocross bike for commuting or getting around local routes just like a regular motorcycle.

Making a dirt bike street legal requires some modifications including installing Department of Transportation (DOT) approved tires. Also known as dual sport, these tires work well on pavement while giving you the traction required when transferring from blacktop to trails. Dual sport tires offer the convenience of legally riding to your trail destination rather than transporting your dirt bike in the back of a truck or trailer.

MotoSport stocks a variety of dirt bike dual sport tires from some of the most well-known and respected manufacturers of DOT approved tires. Replace a front or back tire or grab a combo. Most of our available dual sport tires work well on pavement and trails while some cross over to the track. Imagine riding to your race on the very bike you're competing with!
