" Like every thing from WC, these braces are really strong, durable and very light. It's very easy to install unless your dumb like me and and strip out the threads in the screw hole. Made the shroud plastic a little tight on my CRF250r but they still fit good. The braces are easily visible on the bike which isn't a bad thing, the review just said they wouldn't be seen. "

Questionable protection.
" I'm not sure if these braces really offer any protection at all. I have had three sets of these on different bikes and from my experience these things seem to cause more damage than they prevent. Every wreck I've had with these, even just minor low sides, have destroyed my radiators. The only systems that seems to really work are the Devol style radiator gaurds. "

depends on your application
" When I had these on my STOCK radiators they were fine, held up great, did everything they were supposed to do. Well since then I have upgraded to larger fluidyne radiators and it is very different. They do not fit properly at all. After a long time of bending and fitting I got them to mount up but man did it suck. My advice is run these with stock radiators, but if you do decide to upgrade find something different or else you will be going through the same headache I had. I will add that after custom mounting them they do still provide protection! and believe me if you dont want to pay for stock radiators you sure as heck dont want to be paying for aftermarket ones! "

Radiator Survived Crash!
" This was the first thing I purchased when I bought my Honda CRF250R, it was a "just in case" of a crash. Well 2 years later these did the job. The brace was totally smashed but left the radiator in a working condition. The radiator and the plastic got a little bent because of how fast I was going but if the brace was not there, I would have been spilling radiator fluid all over the track and in the market for new a radiator. I will replace the radiator after this season because its not flush anymore and its hard to take the plastic off, but at least I can still ride for the rest of the season. I highly recommend these if you got a nice ride. Believe me... replacing a radiator is way more expensive than replacing the braces. "

Not effective
" These braces will help your radiator from getting crushed from a direct side impact, but if you are in forward motion while falling down they will bend back leaving your shrouds sticking straight out! I have had both sides crush back in falls during races on my CRF450R9, and i would have been better off without the cages since my shroud then stuck out so far my knee would hit it making it impossible for me to sit forward on the bike. The guards were solid enough to make it impossible to bend them back by hand in the race and ruined my moto. Food for thought "

" Put these on now before you damage your radiators. My brother had these ordered and was just taking the new bike for a casual break in ride. Good old fashion pain in the rear!
" I first bought these radiator guards when i bought my bike. I thought that they would be a good investment. They are a complete pain to install because they use the same bolts as the plastics you have to carefully hold them in place to install them. The part that really ticks me off is that they offer little to no protection. I cased it on a jump and bounced the bike sideways, i flew off and ran back to the bike only to find my left radiator crushed. The works connection guards had buckled under the impact and offered practically no protection. So now i'm a 17 who needs to scrounge up 300 bucks to replace my radiator and plastics. Thanks a lot works connection for making a flimsy aluminum peice of JUNK!!! "

Good Product with a few downfalls
" I would recommend this product to my friends if they didn't already have it. The braces went on fairly easily, but I did have to do some modding to make the OEM plastic radiator guards fit. Drilled a hole in the wing of both radiators for the bolt holes to match up, and I had to grind the brace itself down a little so the plastic clip could fit easily through. A little more modding than I expected but nothing aftermarket ever fits perfectly. Buy this product and you won't regret it. "

NO AFTERMARKET RADIATORS!
" Number one, it doesn't fit the stock radiator correctly, but for anyone looking to use the WC brace to protect a $350 investment in a PWR or Fluidyne radiator, which is what we have (PWR), forget about it. Some modification needed
" This is a great product, however on my 2006 RMZ 450 there is some modification needed. To make this work I had to move the mounting point of the pet-cock and the instructions said that I had to cut the on/off lever to have it mount properly. This made it difficult to turn the fuel on and off. "

how does it work?
" I bought this for my yz45f and installed it. fairly easy installation. Looks really good behind the shroud. I have never fell down yet with these on but they do not look like they will keep the radiators from bending. "

GREAT PURCHASE!!
" I received the product in 2 days after purchase! Radiator braces came with nuts and bolts ready to be installed. One hole needed to be drilled on each of the radiator flanges, which was quick and easy, the braces bolted right on and did not require any other cutting or drilling. They look great and are very affordable!! I wouldn't ride without them! Cost of Radiator braces beats the cost of replacing radiator without a doubt! "

Really Good
" I've layed by bike down a couple of times before and had to replace the stock radiators, which is both painful in your pocket and when you fall. But with this product you don't have to worry about replacing them, plus it's cheaper than new radiators. They work very well. "

They are reasonably priced to give you that added insurance against expensive radiator replacement. "

Great Investment
" These radiator braces are probably the best thing I've bought for my bike so far. I had a crash recently and my bike went down on the side. After going back to camp and checking out the damage I found that my radiator brace was way bent out of shape, but my radiator was just fine. Opposed to having to buy a new radiator these braces only had to be bent back into shape. And by the way this process of bending the braces back in shape is VERY easy. Great investment. "

Great Brace
" This brace works great for what it’s designed for. It is designed to keep the radiator from bending backwards in a crash. It helps keep it from getting smashed sideways, but the way it bolts to the frame most of its strength is for head-on impacts. It bolts right up and includes longer bolts where needed. I have been using the same brace on my bike for three years and it has held up extremely well. Well worth the money, works great as a combo with a front brace! "

Much Needed
" These radiator braces are much needed if you ride tracks or trails. A bent radiator that leaks can ruin your day or weekend in addition to being very costly to replace. Then you'll bent and wishing you had bought them for your bike. All you'll be able to do is watch everybody else having a blast as they ride away. Cya "

Work Connection
" These Radiator Guards/braces from Works Connection are the best out there in my opinion. I have used and tried a lot of brands and types on all different kinds of bikes and these seem to please myself and everyone that uses their products. The fit is beautiful, smooth, and pretty easy to install. I have tried using the Devol Braces but they did not seem to fit at all, not saying their products are not good but I was pretty disappointed in them and the customer service. I am proud to say I have at least 6 Works Connection products on my 450 and I can't be any happier. From Skid plates, to Ignition Covers, to even brake fluid caps. If you race, ride trails, freestyle, or just are a down right off road enthusiast, defiantly give Works Connection a try! "

Must Have
" I tend to over research eveything that I buy, so after reading differnt reviews and recommendations, I decided to buy the Works Connection Braces. When I received them I was surpised at their light weight and was a bit concerned. I found that they were a breeze to install and look great, still allowing full airflow to the radiator. I can't tell you how many times I have laid my bike down and the first thing I always look for is damage to the radiator, I need to quit looking because it aint happening. Braces do exactly what they are designed to do and are very competitively prices. Great Product, I wouldn't be in the woods on a water cooled bike without them! "

great insurance
" i do alot of jumping, and my friend has these on his yz250. i've seen him crash quite a few times, and he has no radiator damage. on my bike, i already had a really bent up right radiator, so i sent it off to mylers (look them up) to have it straightened. i ordered these while my radiator was gone, and put them on my bike when they got back. i found they were a little hard to fit on there, and i had to grind the hole a little bigger. its still worth it though "

Not very much protection
" I used a set of Works Connection Radiator Braces on my '05 Yamaha. I crashed hard, highsided on the left side, and the brace did nothing to protect the radiator. I believe in a slow, tipover type crash, the may help somewhat. I have since purchased the wraparound cages by Moose Offroad (the Works Connection Cages were not yet readily available). The cages seem to be a much better application, especially for side impact protection. Cages are a bit more initial expense, but I feel they give much more overall protection for expensive radiators. Great buy for your new bike!
" I do not like to ride without these. These days on the new bikes the radiators are so weak just a slight fall and you can waste a radiator. These work very well. I have bent one before, but it was an extremely hard crash, but my radiator still preformed fine(I believe that if i did not have them on my bike my weekend would have been over due to a leaking radiator). One of the best things you can put on your bike. "

Insurance for your radiators
" These Works Connection radiator braces are a must have! Easy to bolt on and they give your bike awesome protection from those crashes that would normally ruin your radiators. In my opinion this is one of the best, least expensive mods to keep you on the track after a crash. Unlike some other braces that go in front of your radiators these do not inhibit airflow to your radiator that can cause overheating. If you spend most of your time on the track then go for the Works Connection braces, for off-road you may want some protection in the front from branches and flying rocks and would suggest the Devol extreme radiator braces. "
can i order just one side or do i have to buy both ?
Asked by MotoKid217, salisbury NH
They come in pairs.
Answered by Mikeym, Santee, CA
If I order just one side the other unprotected radiator on my bike will be ok if I just tear it off, won't it?
Asked by Kdawg
These are sold in pairs so you would have to buy both, and if you rip off a radiator i wouldn't ride that bike until it's replaced or repaired.

will these work with aftermarket rads such as fluidyne?
Asked by speuty
These are designed to work with the OEM radiators. If your aftermarket radiators are wider than stock you will probably have mounting issues. But if the radiators are comparable to OEM you'll be fine.
Answered by james718, Portland, OR
i have devol radiator guards.. can i use these in addition? the devol guards have a single arm that braces to lower shroud bolt
Asked by Jakobreid, destin, fl
I do know that people have used them in conjunction before but sometimes it may take a little tweaking or cutting of the inside of the shroud.
