Great products as always

i have used wesco pistons in the past and always had great luck. This kit was shipped in two seperate packages arraving on different days but i was in no hurry so that was fine for my situation. kit has everything you need to rebuild the top end inculding gaskets for the power valve and reed cage. havent actually got to use the bike yet but the install was a breeze.

Great product

Put this in my KX500 that was a bit tired. Installation was smooth. Be sure to put the piston rings on the spring notches as your putting the cylinder back on. Went on smooth, gaskets fit fine and where packed nice. For my break in..
1. Fresh Oil (not synthetic)
2. Warmed engine up at idle to operating temp.
3. Let cool down until engine is completely cold
4. Repeat step 2 and 3
5. Took it on an easy 20min ride at 50% through 3rd gear.
6. Let it cool down and recheck all torque specs
7. Next day compression test then took it out riding, just warmed it up and kept it around 75% riding regular dirt roads for 30min or so. Stopped and ate a snack while it cooled down.... then ripped it for 4 hours like I stole it.

Hyuuuuuge improvement in response, my bottom end snapped harder and when that powerband hits in 4th and 5th on my 500.. hold the F on.

Great product and it's why I run Wiseco pistons.

Wasn't what I ordered. It shows a dual ring piston. I got a single. But it's no big deal

Only piston I will buy

Can't say enough about wiseco pistons. I've used 4 or 5 different brand pistons over the years and from here out I will stay with wiseco. I get more hours out of them than anything else I have tried and even when I have had a failure the piston has always took the damage and left my cylinder in good shape which is nice cause cylinders are much more expensive. The only trouble I had were installing the clips and that's my fault because I didn't use the proper tools to do it with. Also can't say enough about Motosport, my stuff was here quick, undamaged and packaged well, better price than almost everyone, and even got a couple cool little freebies. Will definitely be ordering here again in the future

Pro lite 2 cycle piston

I used vertex, wiseco and OEM piston's. I go with wiseco because the lighter weight let's the engine rev faster and that also means less rotating mass. The vertex is also Ok but it only has one ring which with the amount of riding I do wouldn't suit me. It would be fine if I was to change top ends every other month. Stock obviously is good but its meant more for reliability, which is good but heavier than going aftermarket. Heavy means slow... So if you race EVERY weekend the single ring is the way go, assuming you will maintain your bike very often. For me, two ring wiseco is the way to go. Reliable, slightly better performance than stock and priced right.

They guys at Motorsport provided the best customer service in the world. I will always going to shop from their website. This kind of customer service is what we need in America. The owner of this company is very smart how he/she runs this business. Keep up a good job guys.

Now let me move on to the piston. I love the quality of the product. It looks really well built but I have not taken my bike for a ride yet. It is too hot here in California, where we can ride. In 2 months or so then I can tell if it holds up to it name.

Feel the power

Put a fresh top end on my sons kx100. Stock bore. Real easy to install. He felt the difference in power immediately. Front wheel easily comes up with no clutch pop. Highly recommended.

A: In addition to this piston, you will want a needle bearing for the wrist pin, and a top-end gasket kit. We sell all of those items together, select your ride at the top of the page and do a search for "Piston Kit".

A: If you are just replacing the piston, then you need to first know the bore of the cylinder. This can be done by using a bore gauge to find the diameter or by reading the owner’s manual to find the bore specifications. Ultimately, the bore should be measured for the best possible results. After the diameter is known, then you can pick which size piston will work best in your cylinder.

Q: Just got this for my stock cr85, do i need to drill lubrication holes like it says or is it ready to be put in as is?

A: If the cylinder has an exhaust port bridge going across the center of port, then yes you will need the holes. If it just has a full size hole for the exhaust port with no bridge in between, then you do not need to drill holes.
