First Purchase and very happy
" First of all, just want to say I'm by no means a professional. I rode dirt bikes for about 4 years in my youth back in the early 90's and have been riding street for past 10. I just recently got back into dirt bikes as I bought my son (age 15) and I a pair of KX dirtbikes. Only our 4th time out and I decide I'm ready to learn wheelies on my 06' KX450F, NOT! Darn you youtube! Yup, as soooo many of us dopes do, we see how easy it is to do tricks on youtube and decide it’s so easy even an old man can do it, but what started off fairly well at first riding just a few inches off the ground for 3 and 4 seconds, ended abruptly by me showing my son how to eat it by ripping too much throttle ending up with a severely damaged ego, a seriously bruised rump shaker, busted throttle tube, and you gessed it, a bent set of handlebars So that’s my story, now on the review... The purchase was very easy, shipping time wasn’t bad, and assembly was simple. I called in prior to the purchase and the sales rep was friendly and extremely helpful in making sure I ordered everything I needed. I was pleased that everything was packed nicely and order was complete and even happier that when I assembled it, I didn’t need anything. The product is absolutely solid, from the design to how sturdy it looks and feels, I would definitely recommend this product, but make sure to buy the kit and the rubber grommets, as they will not fit in your standard mounts. As a side note, the prices were good so I will be buying from them again, however on another purchase (shorty clutch and brake levers for my ZX9R) it has been on backorder over a month!!!! Cmon guys, before the seasons over please!!! Install tip for newbs like me. I struggled aligning the handle bars at first, because I tried assembling the mounts to the handlebars first, so what I figured out (maybe not the best way, but it worked for me) was to assemble the bottom portion of the mounts first and get them fairly snug, then line them up so the handlebars fit perfectly when laid in, once this is done, tighten the bottom so there is no play in the mounts, then lay in your handlebars and get the top mounts snug before getting your torque wrench all around. Great Mounts and Very Strong Bars
" This combo is excellent. I did make the mistake of initially getting the mounts that go on top of current mounts (I have a 2011 CRF 250R) and they did not show up for that year. Those mounts raised my bars too high. Anyway I exchanged the mounts for the 2010 Honda mounts and they worked great and look very nice. "

" as a hardcore protaper fan, and when my protapers bent i got these as a replacement, and ill never buy any other bar, first off the got landed on and i broke my hand with a 450s dunlop on the bars and no bend, not even a scratch! THEN i lent my bike to a friedn and it fell out of his truck goin out my driveway and landed right on the bar and still no bend! plus they look trick! all my riding buddies have bought really expensive pro tapers that have bent or even snapped and i just laugh, GREAT bars "

great combo
" these bars are awesome. they are very strong and have survived a few good crashes so far. The only thing is that now I cant get a set of tie downs that fit the bar because its so wide. I have to wrap it around and hook it to itself. the mounts are great quality and give the bike a nice look. installation was a little wierd on my 08kx450, as the bolt on the new mounts is much longer than the stock and it was clipping my cable stay on the frame. I had to bend the stay out of the path of the bolt. Also the allen screws that mount the bars fill with water everytime i wash my bike and they are starting to rust. I think it would have been better if they had just used bolts like the stock bars. allen screws are harder to adjust and there is always a chance of stripping them out. otherwise, I couldnt be happier with this setup "

Excellent Bar
" Bought the 06 yzf bend to replace my stock Renthals on my 06 kx250f. The stockers were in perfect condition still, just wanted a lower rise with less back sweep and added strength. Love the change, helps me stay over the front of my bike. Also the turner mounts look and work great. Both products were very easy to install. "

Good Combo
" You actually save a couple dollars getting this combo unlike the Pro Taper combohere on the Motosport site . The Turner clamps are beautifully polished and are of great quality. The clamps went on easy and fit well. I notice more flex in the Pro Taper Contour than the Twinwalls. The Twinwalls are still a great handlebar. "

didn't fit at all
" I purchased this product about two months ago and when I tried to put it on my 06 crf 450, it was to tall and the throttle cable didn't fit. I used the 15 mill raise with the clamps so it may work with stock settings but that wasn't what I was trying to do. "

WARNING: ATV owners need to know this.
" I own a YFZ450 and bought these handlebars a few months ago. The bars look great but there is hardly any room to mount all your accessories on the limited amount of 7/8" bar available. I have aftermarket powermadd handguards on my bars and the only way I was able to fit stock start button, clutch, and handguards on the left side of the bars was to modify the clutch mount with a little bit of grinding. On the right side of the bar I had to do grinding on the front brake lever mount to get everything on this side of the bars. It may take a little work for anyone with thumb throttle and handguards but in my opinion these bars are top notch. I do a lot of racing and rough riding and these bars are very comfortable and are extremely durable! I crashed before on a large tabletop and flipped my bike end over end a few times, and the bars never bent, or cracked at all. I would recommend these bars to anyone but just be prepared to do some work to make them work. "
need some help with this
what is the stock bend for my 2002 yamaha warrior 350 and what mounts should i get i am only 14 so i need some help
Asked by warrior
I have no listing on what the stock bend is on the Warrior 350 but I would guess the height is somewhere in the 140mm region. as far as the mounts go, you would need the universal solid mounts which bolt onto your existing lower bar mount.
Answered by JesseC, Tualatin
i have a yamaha warrior 350 can i put the stock contrls on this? please help
Asked by warrior
yes all your stock controls will fit, all bars are 7/8" where the controls mount.

which bend is the closest to stock crf250 bars?
Asked by almstfamus74, Mesa AZ
The Carmichael Twin Walls are the exact same bend as the stock CRF250R bars.
Answered by mx4l
im 6'5 ride a 450r bent my factory bars no clue what kind of bars i should get and what does 15 mm rise mean for the turner bar clamps
Asked by 450rsavage
The 15mm rise means the bar mounts are going to raise your bars 15mm higher or roughly a half an inch. So to pick a bar for you is tough because it boils down to whats comfortable for you. I would say probably start out with a CR high bend just because the dimensions are basically in the middle compared to other bends.

rubber and solid
Asked by laurence
Solid is like an adapter that fits on top of your stock lower 7/8 bar mounts... The Rubber mounts will replace your stock bar mounts d bolt and all. (your bike must have rubber mounts stock to get the rubber mounts)
Answered by racer3114, PDX
What kind of bend I should get?
Asked by Jordy, Theriot
the rubber mounts are cool for trail bikes i think, and you might need to cut these down so they dont look like bull horns sticking out really far on a little 125, but each bend fits a certain type of rider so try them out
Answered by bobs, denver, CO
i have a 98' rt 100 what does the solid mount 15mm mean?
Asked by Liv1
That means these bar mounts bolt directly to the top clamp with out any rubber cones to help cut down vibrations. The 15mm means they are 15mm taller than stock.

if you want your bars to have the same bend as stock, i wud go with maybe the CR hi, but you really should try a diferent bend, there all a little different, go yo a bike shop and see which one you like, i like the carmicheal

The stock bend is the Renthal 971. The Carmichael bend in the Twin Wall has the exact dimensions.

Whats a better bar for a 04 YZ250 This bar or the protaper se bar?
Asked by joshy, waupun, Wi
The twinwalls are a 1 1/8th bar and the SE's are a 7/8th. The twinwalls will be stronger so thats what I would run.

I have a 03 kx250 what bar bend is the closest to the stock and what about the mounts, rubber or solid?
Asked by kxrider03
That bike came stock with the Stewart bend, so a bar thats some what close to that would be the Windham bend. As far as mounts go it's going to be your decision. Normally the rubber mounts are a little more forgiving and helps cut down the vibes through the bars a little more than a solid mount. Normally most people switch from a solid mount to a rubber mount. If you do go with the rubber mounts make sure to get new cones along with them.

Most taller people prefer taller bars to keep them from hunching over. But also, handlebar selection is a rider preference.

This would be the cheaper way to run an oversized handlebar. Cheaper meaning you don't have to purchase a whole top clamp, just the oversized bar mounts.
