Not crash tested
good product so far, comfortable, breathable, etc. I have only worn / washed them once, so I cannot comment on durability. I have not crash tested them, so impact dissapation is currently unknown, but it has hip, thigh, and tailbone pads. I think the thigh pads should be should be hard plastic armour as opposed to the flexible rubber type. I think this would help protect you better if you land on a sharp rock or branch.

No Hander
I really like these shorts and I'd give them 4.5 stars (if they had half stars). They have pretty good padding all around, too much wouldn't be comfortable so these have just enough. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the elastic waste bags out a little. Also, I smashed my hip really bad in these but I guess no protective shorts would protect from that... They are pretty cool on hot days and mine lasted about 1.5 years or 200 hours at 408mx park in San Jose, cA. The butt pad tore so I just bought new ones.

I bought these for MTB rides and for track days under my leathers. I like them a lot. One suggestion is that the waist band is a bit loose and it would be helpful if there was a drawstring or something else to tighten the waist.

Bought these for my son that is 12. I thought they were "pricey". But he crashed hard on a landing. If he did not have those on, I am positive that there would have been lower injuries to his tailbone and butt area. EMT's had to cut off but I am ordering another pair. Worth the money!!!

Really Good but no Perfect
Feel amazing armor padding on sides is foam and rubber on top, pretty tugh compared to other brands. X-fit is good. its amazing how cool these are compared to others. Only down fall, no pun intended, is that the waist band could be about an inch smaller, I would recomend one size smaller(Small is size 30, med 32 ect.) Over all best I had out of 4 top brands. A bit pricy but worth it, those chineese people will thank you.(not shure where its made doesnt say, but it has a qc check)
