Product Description

The Renthal Fatbar® features a tapered outer wall resulting in a 1-1/8" (28.6 mm) clamping diameter and 7/8" diameter at the control ends. This profiled wall and braceless design combines excellent strength with good flexibility. KTM and Suzuki have chosen the Renthal Fatbar® as the ultimate braceless handlebar and fit them as original equipment where this design is preferred within their range.

The Renthal Fatbar® has the following features:

  • 1-1/8" (28.6 mm) large diameter clamping area.
  • Tapered wall construction to 7/8" (22.2 mm) allows fitment of standard grips and controls.
  • Braceless design.
  • 7010 T6 aluminum - Renthal has exclusive rights to this specifically developed alloy designed for the manufacture of handlebars.
  • Shot peened surface finish to help prevent fatigue failure.
  • Knurled grip area increases bonding between bars and grips.
  • No knurling in clamp area, this could cause stress on the riser and lead to fatigue failure.
  • Anodizing - a 15 step anodizing process forms an integral coating giving protection against corrosion.
  • Laser-etched positioning grid.
  • Available in a variety of bends and colors to offer a custom fit on the bike.
  • Notes: Requires oversized 1-1/8" bar mounts. Bar pad not included.

Great bars!
These bars are great! They seem to be very strong and look great! Mounted these on my yz250 with tag over sized bar clamps. These bars have a nice grid for adjusting and centering the bars. This grid is also nice in case you ever have to remove your bars you can always put them back in the same position. I got the CR highs because i'm about 6'1". The bars are very comfortable while riding when standing (the clamps also raised the bars 2/3").

Fat with less Weight
These bars are the BOMB!!! When the box came to my door I thought it was empty. The dimensions are as close to the stock bars as I could find and the feel is awesome. Less vibration, better look, more room for the GPS than with stock. I did have to modify the pad to fit with my ROX riser kit though.

Can i put Renthal fat bars on my stock Renthal mounts?
Expert MotoSport Staff

You will need to make sure that the bar mounts are 1 1/8" for oversized bars, since the Renthal Fat bars are oversized 1 1/8"

What bar is close to the Raptor 700 bar size/bend?
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
The 700 ran it's own bend, and the only ones that are somewhat close would be the RC high or the CR highs. You can also use their bend chart on their website to help you out.

Bar mounts?
what would be the best oversized mounts to buy for these bars?
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
Any 1 1/8th mounts will do fine. You can run either the turner's or the Pro tapers. Either one will get the job done.

Flex vs. Strength?
Even though this bar has more flex, will it still be as strong as renthal's standard 7/8 bars
Expert MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: USA
The Fat Bar will be stronger than any 7/8" bar for the simple fact they are larger in diameter 1 1/8".
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: P+RTLAND
Yes, it does take more to bend the Fatbars than it does the standard 7/8th bar.

Each bar has a different height , width, and pull back on them so it's important to pick the bar that is most comfortable for you. Here is a link to what each bend measures out to: http://renthal.com/File/product2d.asp?productid=0&tabtype=5&zone=&biketype=&manufacturer=&model=&bikedate=
