Very tough bars
" I have been riding with these bars for quite a while now and love the way they feel and look but up untill recently i could not really tell how strong they were. I finally had the big spill on the ole 500AF. The bars did bend but no where near as much as the rest of the bike did. This was about a 60mph spill after i got caught up in some very deep square edged holes. I am going to put another set of these bars on my machine. "

Buy yourself a pair
" I got these bars for my 07 crf250r a few years back, I got them mainly because I bent my stock bars and I like the look of the fatter bars anyways. Well I can safetly say that I have crashed hard numerous amounts of times and these bars don't even bent at all. I just bought another pair because I wanted to switch up the color of them. I had gold now black and they look really nice. My gold ones are still perfect. I got my new ones and compared my old ones to them and there wasn't even the smallest bend or dent in them. By far the best bars to get for your money "

Best bars
" These bars bend next to never. The bar mounts themselves bend before the bars do. Also the rubber bushings in the upper triple clamp, found in most big bikes, also go bad and can cause your bar to look bent. I thought my gold contour bars were shot after 3 years of racing and many hard wrecks. i replaced the over sized bar mount bolts and the rubber bushings and the bars were back to perfectly straight. try that with a set of Renthals... HA "

" just the last time out riding , hit the gas, but the rear end didnt like the dirt and threw me to the ground and disslocated my right knee . After i realised as i looked at my bars , and they were bent to the right. So now ill rebuy the contours one last time and see how they do. i love the fat feeling of the bars and ARE the most perfict bars on the market till the dirt decided to put my on the ground. "

Great investment
" After bending my stock set of Contours that came on my YZ450f, I went out and bought another pair! Why? I feel these bars stood up to the harshest of hits until my bike finally landed upside down on the clutch side of the bar. The bar was barely bent, but enough to notice it. I have bent other sets of bars by just tipping over in a corner. Not so with the contours. Although I have not tried the EVO bars, for the money I feel the Contours are worth it. "

Do I need to buy larger clamps for my clutch and master cylinder as well as bar mounts?
Asked by supermac, Ft. Rucker, AL
nope, i didnt fit right with everything
Answered by Shawn25, Henderson, NV
No, just oversized bar mounts.. All 1 1/8th bars taper down to a 7/8's where your controls mount.
Answered by Drewski, Portland, OR
If your a tall rider 6' through 6' 4" what would the best bend to get?
Asked by 250THUMPER
Most will go with the Windham bend. It is important to find a bend that you feel most comfortable with as everyone is different.
Answered by mx4l
Depending on what you ride, i'm 6'3 and ride a 426 Yamaha... ride mostly mx but i run a CR Double High oversized bar. Works very well for me. Opens up the cockpit, allows me too turn better. I would suggest a tall bar with the least amount of sweep as possible. I'm fixing to upgrade to the Pastrana FMX Pro taper bend because it's even taller then the CR Double High, and it has less sweep.
Answered by mxer519, Iowa
if im 5'10 what bars should i get. i want them high bit not 2 high.
Asked by motoman331, Carmel, NY
Bars are a personal preference so we can only make a recommendation on this.. The CR High bend is one thats right there in the middle, not too high and not to low. But it's all about testing different bends to see whats comfortable for you.

what is the difference between evo bars and contour?
Asked by bens
the difference between these bars is the material that is used to construct the bars. The EVO is lighter and just as strong as the Old Easton bars. The contour bar is heavier, but still very strong.

Will these bars fit using my stock 2008 WR250X bar clamps?
Asked by Danga, Brisbane, Australia
No the WR250X has 7/8 bar mounts and these are a 1-1/8 bar. You would need to purchase the universal oversize bar mounts to use the Contour bars.
Answered by JesseC, Tualatin
What is the closest bend to the OEM bars for a 2008 WR250X?
Asked by Danga, Brisbane, Australia
You will want to contact a Yamaha dealer and ask what comes stock. Unfortunately we don't have the capabilities to gather this info.

how much shorter is an mini low than an whindam bend and which one would fit an cr85 better???
Asked by shorty811, north carolina
The mini low is 28mm lower than the Windham bend. The closest bend to your stock bars would be the mini highs.

closest to the stock 06 YZ125 bend would either be the Pastrana MX which is 6mm lower and 2mm less pullback or the Fact. Suzuki/Stock KTM bend which would be 12mm taller and 10mm less pullback and both would be 4mm wider than stock.

no the Contour bars do not have a cross bar but they do come with a pad. the Pro Taper SE bars do have the cross bar but they are a standard 7/8" bar.

comes with a pro taper pad but there is no cross piece. these bars are way strong and don't need a cross piece like 9/10 Renthal bars use

Will these bars fit my new '09 KX250F or will I have to buy larger clamps?
Asked by BTMM, Washington, MO

Which bend is the highest?
Asked by cwhite95, Gander, NL, Canada
The Windham and Carmichael bend have the same rise of 99mm. That is the highest rise Contour bar we stock.

Pro Taper

Well it depends on what year bike you have, Yamaha used to come stock with Renthal and now in the later years they have come with pro taper bars. These are the bars that come stock on the bike now but they used to come with Renthal fatty bars. I would say that the Reed bend is probably the the stock bend that yamaha used.
