very easy install, so long you have a aftermarket skid plate, it will lace right through, and all you have to do is crimp the copper sleave. will hold break pedal in location best as possible, during trail runs and close bike to bike races
i've been using these since 1998. these really are brake savers like they say. very simple yet effective. i have still bent my brake levers in a crash but it was still usable. i put these on all my dirtbikes.
easy to use and great!!!! confused by the look of it? heres how it works: when you get it you slip the metal loop apart and slide the plastic wire guard off. you drill a hole in your foot brake and slide the wire through til the metal stop reaches the brake pedal, slide the plastic cover back on and loop the wire around your frame. then reinstall the metal clip/crimp. crimp it down tight onto the wire and then ride! if anything snags you pedal it will only bend as far as you allow it to(adjust wire when installing to help this) $5 now or $150 later for a new brake pedal!? you decide
yes it is cheap I didn't like the fact that doesn't comes with the oval type predrill washer that you install on the frame to tie off the cable instead you are supouse to run the cable around the engine mount not a wise design
I'll prefer paying few more dollars and get a complete system not a incomplete kind a tie it off were ever you can!!!
I trew it to te garbish simple as that
yes. i drill a hole in the brake pedal and attach one end there, then i usually attach the other end to my skid plate via a bolt with a hole drilled through it, this makes removing the skid plate quicker.
It doesn't keep you from bending or breaking your peddle. It's mainly designed to limit the bend if the peddle take a hard enough impact. Basically it just connects to the peddle and then to your frame and limits how far the lever will bend outwards, and downwards..

it doesn't completley stop bending but it keeps the pedal in a usuable area so the race can go on without having to stop and bend it back. plus it prevents brush, like manzanita, from going inbetween the brake lever and engine case.
