Amazing

I have been riding since I was 5 years old have gone through product after product I'm now 35 and have the the 5.5 matching neck brace it's the best gear it saved my life or saved me from being in a wheelchair. The combo of knowing how to crash as well but if you ride hard and want some serious protection it's the best out there nothing comes close to the comfort level and protection value you don't even know they are there I ride single track so I carry a camel bak with tools about 15 lbs. full w/ water no problem taking pack on and off my klim wind breaker with side zipper open it fits right over helmet and neck brace for cold days with taking ten mins to readjust for weather. Highly recommended to all that ride hard and want to continue to do so even in the case of a terrible crash.

Glad I bought it

Went on a long ride with my son. Took a bad spill at the end of the day and protected my shoulder and elbow real well. What is keeping it from 5 stars is when I got back to the truck one of the back screws had already worked itself loose and fell out somewhere.

Great with Leatt neck brace

Works perfectly with Leatt adventure neck brace. This is awesome for trails with trees and rocks due to the back support design, It goes low on your back, but not enough to cause a problem with it riding up and affecting the neck brace. I have had problems with other brands until Leatt came out with their own. We have 3 of them, the kids are used to it, and they say they don't even notice it. One kid rides with the arm pieces off. Nice feature that you can just unzip them, if that's your preference. I have one also. I am 5-9 155 lbs and I have a Large, fits perfect. Sizing charts are correct. One minor issue: I wear mine over a riding Jersey, as the neck brace, when on, does not allow for a jersey…However my son bought an x large Jersey, and he manages to wear it under the Jersey by putting the neck brace on over the Jersey, so it can work. Just needed that extra play in the fabric of the Jersey to allow the neck brace to set down into the body armor slots.

Leatt Adventure body armor

Wow. I was in the market for a new chest protector but decided to spend a little more in an effort to get some more protection. This thing rocks. Fits well and pads stay where they're supposed to. Also like the way it integrates the Leatt neck brace too!

Love this protector

This is my second body protector and I like this one the best. I am 44, so need to keep myself protected to lengthen my riding years:). This protects the upper body and fits well with the neck brace. It is a bit cumbersome to take on and off, but a few times and you will get use to it. I find the side zipper too small and out of reach, so pull it over. Overall, great purchase. Motosports processing and shipping speed rocks!

Q: What size is appropriate for a 5'9'' 160lbs rider between the selections?
1 year 5 months ago
The sizes available in the drop down menu don't match up with the sizes in the details section. Seems a bit confusing. I do tend to get the sizes mixed up a lot.

A: You would be in the L/XL size (fits riders approx. 55 - 85 kg (120 - 190 pounds) and 172 - 184 cm (5'7"- 6') tall). Which is unfortunately unavailable at this time. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

From sweat, not dirt.

A: From what I can find on this, it would need to be hand-washed in a mild detergent, rinsed with cold water and then air dried. The Body Protector will include a user-manual with complete instructions for washing.

Q: Have you had many returns/complaints about this specific equipment?
2 years 4 months ago
Most reviews I've read have had nothing bad to say. A few have mentioned pieces falling off or coming loose. I'm very interested in this based on it's superior CE ratings. I just am curious if it will last me. Thanks

A: From what I have seen all the Leatt Products are very high quality and very durable. I could not find any customer reviews we have had that mentioned parts coming off of the Body Protector, so far we have had a really good response to this protector.

A: Yes. I would say it could even be worn by itself, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Q: Which upper body protector keeps me the coolest?

A: All of the upper body protectors that are the full jacket style such as this Leatt, will all be fairly similar in how warm or cool they are. Unfortunately with the added material of these compared to a standard chest protector, they will be warmer to ride in. They do take measures to use as much vented material as possible though so while riding you can still get good airflow and not overheat. There is not one that is going to be head and shoulders above the rest for cooling and i would pick the one that has all of the features you require and fits you the best.
