" Installed this kit on my 2007 kx250f. Really easy to install came with step by step instructions. I noticed a big increase in throttle response and it also made my bike easier to start. helped a great deal
" 2008 Honda CRF150R - ran pretty bad at 7500ft (co springs). Put this kit in and it runs so much better. Starts easier. Instructions were clear. It took about 20 mins to change needle, main, pilot, and install o-ring. Sill a very slight bog when throttle is applied (possibly too) quickly but not very noticeable when riding - still trying to adjust away. "

Jetting is spot on now!!!!
" I tried several different jetting setups and thought i finally found one. I was riding and kinda noticed it bogged and the throttle acted weird when going into the power band but once revved nice and high it seemed okay. So i didn't take too much notice until a fouled a plug. I used the recommended jetting setup from the JD kit and the yz125 has so much more power down low but especially more going into and in the power band. I can't believe how much crisper and responsive the throttle is.. "

CRF150R Magic Trick
" I have a CRF150RB that I use for trail riding. It's a neat little bike. For some reason, the stock jetting was all wrong. It was very difficult to start when cold, stalled out very easily and easily overheated. The JD kit transformed this bike from frustration to sheer delight. I am completely amazed at how much better this bike is now that I have installed the JD kit. It starts VERY easily and does not shut off in the process. It sounds better, idles better and performs better. Absolutely the best mod every time all the time always. "

Great - '07 rm250
" I didn't know how easy it was to do this.. I read my 07 rm250 manual left to right and understood jetting.. the hardest part was the needle, but took me 5mintues to figure out how to put it back on. The weather was throwing me off, but finally found a setting that worked. In central cali, Red needle - 2nd clip from the top Main - 162 (a 165, would have a bog when I blipped the throttle, then it would scream) These settings are the best for me, a 165, would bog out of a corner (slightly) and the power would then come making me wheelie "

MONEY WELL SPENT
" I HAVE AN 06 KX250F, I BOUGHT THE KIT TO TAKE THE LOW END BOG OUTTA MY THROTTLE RESPONSE, WELL I FOUND OUT SHORTLY AFTER MY BIKE HAS CUSTOM CAMS, VALVES, VALVE SEATS, AND JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE YOU CAN IMAGINE. MY MECHANIC SAID THAT WITH BIKES ALL AFTER MARKET LIKE MINE USUALLY YOU CANT GET RID OF THE LOW END LAG, BUT I PUT THESE IN AND MY BIKE ALMOST FEELS LIKE IT EFI NOW. ITS A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. I RECOMMEND YOU TAKE OUT YOUR CARB, SINCE IT LITERALLY TOOK ME FIVE MINUTES TO DO THIS WITH THE CARB OUT, AND THEN YOU DONT HAVE TO FIGHT WITH NOT HAVING ANY ROOM TO WORK. I CANT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS KIT... ITS A MUST HAVE FOR ANYONE WITH A POWER BOMB OR AFTERMARKET PIPES AND VALVES. IT COMES WITH TWO DIFFERENT NEEDLES, FOUR OR FIVE FLOW VALVES BASED ON A FEW DIFFERENT FACTORS, A NEW FUEL MIXTURE SCREW AND A RUBBER WASHER THAT CLAMPS DOWN THE FUEL PUMP LEVER AND TAKES OUT ANY SLOP. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE SIMPLE AND EASY TO FOLLOW "

" My son's 08 YZ250F had always had a bog coming out of turns, the JD jet kit fixed the bog and also improved power all over. He is very happy with it. Nice Kit
" Installed on a 07 Crf250R, really increased the over-rev, which every 4 -stroke racer is searchin for. Responsiveness is spot on bye bye boggin carb!! I noticed gains up through the mid range. I installed with the blue tip which richens the mixture and it helps a ton especially riding in the northwest where its the air is cool and humidity is low at this time of year. Definate must for any 250f racer trying to give their bike that extra bite it needs! Be careful when installing, just take it slow and be sure and adjust as conditions change to maximize your torque. Yeah Ya!! "

Works, but pricey
" I recently bought a KTM 300XCW and immediately went on a trip to Colorado. I didn't want to hassle with a lot of trial and error jetting, so I was looking for a jet kit that worked at 10k feet to 12k feet. I jetted the bike with this kit's recommended settings. The bike ran perfect. The only disappointment was what the kit included for the price. 4 main jets and 2 needles...at least throw in spare e-clips JD! Anyway, the kit worked awesome, so I can't knock it there. "

Always a great product
" This is my 4th JD Jetting Kit and I buy one every time I get a new bike. If it doesn't dial in your jetting perfectly then it at least gets it in the ballpark. Sometimes I need to drop the pilot jet one more size or two. On my two strokes, pipe spooge is greatly reduced if not eliminated and engine power is crisp. It feels like I get 20% more power out of the motor, too. Starting is a breeze and the motor runs smoother. It really cleans things up. I think it's the cheapest and best mod you can do for your engine. You can spend $5 per jet and take the time to do it yourself but why reinvent the wheel when James Dean has already done it for you? Great product! "

Like a new bike
" I installed the JD kit on my 2008 KX250F and it completely changed the engine running for the better. For example, before installing the jet kit the motor had a regular growl - nothing special. After I installed the kit - wow! it now has the "thump" that a 4-stroke should have. Runs better, starts easier, sound like it should all the way through the throttle, from idle to top-end. After market pipe back fires?
My bike is an '03 450. It has a nasty bog and it backfires when I let off the gas. No one can give me a straight answer as how to fix this. Which jet and what sizes should i try to fix this?
Asked by supasport23
the backfire on deceleration is probably from an exhaust leak where the header mounts to the motor. some times playing with the fuel mix screw can help decel popping as well. as for the BOG I would recommend a JD jet kit. there are lots of other after mar

How do you know what jets to use?
Asked by JoeDirt
WELL I JUST GOT ONE AND IT TELLS EVERYTHING STEP BY STEP LIKE WAT NEDDLE DOSE WHAT AND WHAT O-RING DOSE WHAT SO U SHOULD BE GOOD
Answered by DONNA, CHESAPEAKE VA
How do you insert this part into your bike?
Asked by rstdghnthg
This kit is just a series of different jets that go into your carb. So your going to have to pull the carb apart to change out your jetting.. If you haven't done this before I would recommend having a mechanic install it.
Answered by Drewski, Portland, OR
If im going to put a maegabomb header on my bike later should i just jet it to be a little rich?
Asked by crf250rhs
I wouldn't, that could possibly turn into a bad situation. I would tune the bike for the slip on if you have it, then again when you install the header, or just wait and install the whole unit at once that way you don't have to pull the carb apart twice.
Answered by Drewski, Portland, OR
will these work with the sst pipe? if not what would you use
Asked by zachmo
Yes, jets really aren't pipe specific so any jet kit will work.

Asked by iyuiyu
We don't offer a jet kit for that bike, We do sell the individual jets on the OEM page though you just have to know what jet you need.
Answered by Drewski, Portland, OR
What are we getting?
Asked by Awesome, MD
Depending on the type of machine purchasing for will determine the exact contents. Majority of these kits include enough jets to accommodate most conditions. You will get the custom needles as well. The biggest reason JD jet kits are so popular is due to these custom needles.
Answered by james718
Do instructions recommend a certain needle & jet?
Asked by Buckstump, Spokane, WA
Yes, they do offer jetting recommendations. check out this FAQ on JD jetting website. http://www.jdjetting.com/html/faq.htm
Answered by james718
Does this kit come with pilot jets also?
Asked by lilbeckk
No, pilot jets are not included.

do i need this?
Asked by ljksdfbnsdjkfbndjkfb
I would suggest getting this for the simple fact is includes different Needle's. It has a blue needle for cold weather and a red needle for hot weather. These are engineered different from stock and gives the bike better performance throughout the year.
Answered by james718
will this jet kit work with a r&d powerbowl?
Asked by kx85rider
Yes, these jets should work with the R&D Powerbowl.
Answered by Drewski, Por+land
other aftermarket parts?
Asked by dirtbike33
If you're having jetting issues or feel that you could dial it in a little better, than this item would be great for that.
Answered by james718
what size are the jets?
Asked by austin793
These jet sizes will differ depending on what you're putting it in.
Answered by james718
What are the sizes for a 2008 CRF450X?
Asked by penmark, Illinios
The kit for the CRF450X comes with 155,160,162,165 & 170 main jets. It does not include any pilot jets and it comes with the 2 custom needles as well. JD recommends opening the air box up for more airflow and that is why the kit comes with such big main jets.
Answered by JesseC, Tualatin
will this increase my bottom end?
Asked by zachmo
Typically you would only change the jetting on your bike if you have made some sort of modifications such as a new exhaust or air filter. By itself a jet kit will offer marginal performance gains if any.

You should definitely get a jet kit if you are planning on going with an exhaust system. Jets all pretty much do the same thing so one brand isn't necessarily better than another.

will it work

This jet kit should work if it's listed as fitting your ride.

Do i need to re-jet it if i just get a new exhaust but not the whole system?
Asked by HoNdAcrf150r
Jetting a bike after doing any modifications is always a good idea. But it's not necessary. Your best bet is to install it and run the bike and see how it performs. If it seems that you can't dial in your carburetor with the current jets, than yes you will have to rejet.

will these jets stop my bike from cutting out

This will help fix your bogging. JD makes some of the best aftermarket carburetor needles.

Yeah I would recommend it. The jet kits cover all the way up to 12000 ft so you should be well covered.

Is This Required?
Asked by Zacky
With a slip on normally you dont need to really do any jetting, but it's highly recommended. Check the plug after you ride with the exhaust on and if any jetting needs to be done, your plug should tell you.

How easy?
Asked by Zacky
it's simple . drop the carb , unbolt the bowl and drop that ( 4 bolts ) turn the carb upside down and wullah...there are the jets . use a skinny standard screw driver , unscrew the old jets , and re-install the new jets. no gaskets needed as the bowl has an o-ring. I believe elevation and wether or not you have an after market pipe will affect the outcome of your bikes performance though.

Can You Do This?

What are.
Asked by Zacky
the plug is referred to as the Spark Plug. this is typically located on/near the top of the motor, or whats referred to as the, Top End. A suggestion to you is to obtain a service manual before you work on the bike. it will save you a head ache and/or even a ton of money.
Answered by james718, USA
How Will...
Asked by Zacky
Depending on how the air fuel mixture is, it will leave a residue on the electrode of the plug. If your plug is: Grey to Light Golden-Brown in color your good. If it's white or melted then your too lean. If it's covered in black soot then your too rich. If you've never jetted a bike before, I would recommend having a mechanic walk you through it.

The JD jet kit comes with everything you need.
Answered by Blazer1
Jets are all different sizes, so you would need to have new jets, not just move around old ones. You can move the needle clip though.
