" I love the Hinson Brand. As a rookie to repairing bikes however you will need a Bearing press to get the Gear out and a grinding wheel shave down the pins for the primary drive. Pressing the gear from inside the basket. I would imagine all after market baskets are like that. but i am not real sure on that. Good thing though is that the Motosport team are really great guys and probably can answer that before you order. "

" I installed this on a 96 CR 250R. Product is superior quality over the OEM basket. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Simple installation for the mechanically inclined requiring only a grinder or dremel and basic hand tools. A clutch holder tool and a torque wrench are recommended though. My stock basket was notched out pretty badly so the clutch had a jerky feel when putting it in gear and starting off. This new basket made a world of difference in feel and clutch performance. "

" I bought one of these for Matt's YZ85 and returned it. The problem is with Yamaha's setup where the gears and basket are riveted together. To install, you need to drill the rivets (with a press) and then bolt to the basket. Also, the rings that couple the parts were worn out and not available seperatly from Yamaha. I'm not sure about other bikes, but check the gear-basket mounting method before ordering. "

no, but it includes the receded screws to attach the gear, which you'll have to remove from the old basket.

This basket will not include the cushions. You can either use the ones off the the stock basket or you'll need to purchase them from a Yamaha OEM shop. Unfortunately we do not sell Yamaha OEM yet.

They are rubber inserts that are located on the back of the clutch basket. I'm only aware that Honda's have them. I've never seen them for any other mfg.
