Product Description

The FMF Factory 4.1 slip-on exhaust is the same exhaust that professional racers use to bring home championships around the world. FMF constructed the Factory 4.1 slip-on exhaust to offer the lightest weight slip-on on the market. The technology in this slip-on exhaust cannot be found in any other exhaust. The proprietary Chamber Core technology allows for smoother and more efficient exhaust flow to maximize the power output. Since the Factory 4.1 slip-on exhaust is meant to be used for competition, FMF made this pipe ready to take to the track straight out of the box. The FMF Factory 4.1 has been designed to allow for easy maintenance with a removable sleeve for repacking and it offers the ability to fine tune the performance of the exhaust with the addition of tuning inserts and the option of a spark arrestor to give you no boundaries.

  • The lightest system available.
  • Boosts low-mid torque and offers a broader powerband with more over-rev.
  • Patented Chamber Core for optimum performance.
  • Engineered for compactness and centralized mass for improved handling.
  • Exclusive mounting design.
  • Easily serviced for re-packing.
  • Slip-on mufflers are available with a titanium or stainless steel midpipe.
  • Customizable with performance tuning inserts and spark arrestor module.
  • Meets AMA® sound requirements on most models.

Big Difference
I have been running another brand of pipes on both of my CRF250Rs for just over a year now. I put a power bomb header with a 4.1 muffler on my '09 and WOW what a difference. Not only did it lower the sound, but the power increase was very real from bottom to top.

Good pipe
Bought for 06 crf250r, already had the fmf megabomb on bike, fit good the only complaint i have is the tire (stock size) rubs the exhaust when suspension is compressed. makes good power and sound with the 94Db insert

Great Buy!
This is a great product for any bike. I have it on a 2006 yz250f and is absolutly amazing. It made it quieter and had shortened it about and inch to two inches. It also had made the throttle response on my bike quicker, before it had a little play in it now you turn it just a little bit and it is hitting. Absolutly worth every penny and well worth it to get the power and much, much more out of it.

Fit the stock header?
Hey does this fit the stock header? and also i read a question were someone was asking if it was"real loud" , i was wondering the same, and what i mean by that is, how much louder is it than a stock pipe by decibels?

This will fit the stock head pipe. The dB will be increased slightly depending on the type of bike it's being installed on. FMF do offer quiet cores to bring that sound level down to an acceptable limit.

For a 2006 crf250r w/ the dual exhaust do i have to make any modifucations or does it just bolt directly off the header?

This will mount up to your stock header. This will convert your dual exhaust to a single exhaust system. this does include the mid pipe.

Is it loud with just slip on?
if i just put the slip-on on will it be as loud as it would be with a header too? if i just put slip-on on will it be real loud?

I'm not understanding what you mean by loud. This pipe will perform better than stock, and would be approx. 103Db out of the box.

Is that a power bomb already installed?
this is the entire exhaust? end to top?

this is a SLIP-ON exhaust system. You will not be getting the head pipe with just this. You can look into the full FMF exhaust systems if you're looking for the complete system.

This already has the mid pipe with it correct? And the end cap just screws off correct? How does the spark arrestors go in?
Over 4 years ago Location: mammoth lakes
the pipe does have the mid pipe but the end cap on this model does not come off and the spark arrestor is already on the pipe all you to do is bolt it on ;)

Is this pipe 96db?
Expert MotoSport Staff
This will not be 96dB out of the box. But they do offer 2 quiet insert that will lower the dB by -3dB or -5dB, depending on which one you get. These are sold separately.

What header pipe do you need with this canister?
MotoSport Staff Expert

This exhaust can be used with either the OEM header or a FMF header. For optimum power increase I would suggest going with a FMF header. If there are any other questions give me a call, Jeremiah ext. 5713.
