• The DID ERT2 chain is the most trusted chain in supercross and motocross racing because of their reputation of meeting the high quality demands that are required when pushing the limits.
  • The DID 520 ERT2 gold chain was designed with the intentions of making a chain that is optimized for purpose of racing.
  • DID beefed up the 520 ERT2 chain by increasing the pin size by 3% to give the gold chain an average tensile strength of 8,100 pounds.
  • Increasing the strength of the 520 ERT2 chain did not come with a sacrifice of weight, in fact DID was able to shed 5% from the previous ERT chain.
  • DID provides a premium chain with the 520 ERT2 gold chain that cuts friction to a minimum and lightens the weight for all your racing chain requirments.
  • Note: the DID 520 ERT2 gold chain includes a clip style master link.

" I have been using DiD chains for several years and have never had one fail. I believe they come pre stretched but you still have to check your chain slack after every ride to maintain performance. I will continue to buy this chain. "

Tough as nails
" This is the only chain I buy for my bikes. It usually outlasts my steel sprockets. Very little stretching....most of the adjustments in my case, have been due to sprocket wear, not stretching. Looks good too! "

Smooth
" This was a easy install on my CRF450R.. The chain did stretch after the first ride, but some adjustment fixed it right up. I installed it a little tight expecting the stretch, so the adjustment was small. Make sure you have a chain breaking tool.. Adjusting the chain length with a diamond wheel Dremel is just tedious. It is a very strong chain to cut.. It rolls very smooth, much smoother then my last Rental chain, after the fresh install.. installed on Renthal Front Sprocket and TAG Rear "

Typical
" Chain has a nice look and gold coating remains on chain to keep that nice look and rust protection. I clean, lube and check chain after every ride session which lasts 20-30 minutes of motocross. Adjust around 1 hour of run time due to stretch. Wear of chain is on par for OEM chain that was supplied on 09 YZ450. Life expectancy appears to be in the 20 hr range with aluminum sprocket set. Used GYTR o-ring with same Vortex sprocket combo last time and life was easily 60+ hr range. X-ring combo was damaged at 40 hrs and was in great shape. If life span is important use a good O-X ring chain and you will get more use with minimal adjustment. "

520 ert2 chain
" I cut 2 links out of it. I have always figured to get a chain that is a little long in the beginning then cut to fit. Better to have too much than not enough. Only a couple of rides on it, but so far it is doing well. I like the finish on it. I used to ride an O-ring, but it was a bugger to get back on. So, I went with this instead. "

Great Chain
" I bought this as part of a Tag sprocket set for an 08 YZ 450. The chain is light yet strong. Combined with the Sprockets, I felt a noticeable difference in horsepower to the rear wheel. I decided to buy another set for an 06 YZ 450 that I have. My only complaint is that I had to adjust the chain fairly quickly, but I bought it for performance not for durability. I just hope it lasts for the entire year. "

gotta love DID
" great chain, without a doubt it is one of the best, stretch is minimal and is non oring! thank god, i dont like oring chains on a bike smaller than a 600, really hinders the feel, just feels smoother. a good plus is that the chain is nice and shiny, good for looks, but it does get covered in dirt pretty fast. great chain no doubt about it. comes with a clip style master link if your curious. didnt know what to expect
" I bought the renthal sprocket/chain set last July for my wr450 and it still looks new after riding in everything you can imagine. I bought the set for my yz250 but bought this chain instead of the renthal, no real reason, just never had a DID chain. I can say it has put up with moderate abuse with nothing negative yet. I threw a lot of hills into the first ride along with some track riding and hit some nasty ruts where my chain was in the dirt....still looks new and no slack. "

" i was suprised at how much the chain streched when i rode the first few times. it needed adjustment after the first five motos, so much that i had to take a link out. i was expecting the gold chain to strech much less than this. on the plus side the chain looks great and has a gold master link. "
gold?
Asked by ds450xrdr
No, the gold will still rust if you dont take care of it. I race GNCC and I always run a X-ring chain. It is a little heavier but you dont have to adjust it very often.
