Expencive and cheap
Make your own out of foil they will last just as long. Motosport and cycra will not stand behind them. In fact the pros only use them because they get paid to.And even then with lots of mods. you will need to mount them to your tripple clamps like the pro or they wont last longer than your first wheelie.

I have been running gaurds on my bikes for years. Acerbis is junk!! These bad boys are made in the USA and are SOLID! They mounted up nicely with no issues on my 08' Honda 450. Definitely worth the extra bucks!

Best Guards for Woods Riding
Great: Very sturdy mounting that won't move even in a hard impact, center reach provides a straight path for my clutch cable, guards are a good size to provide roost and branch protection without going overboard. Not-so-great: my brake lever is against the bottom of the bark-buster and just barely clears it (2008 YZ250). It would be nice if there was more clearance but it works.

CYCRA PRO BEND - CENTER REACH 1 1/8" OVERSIZED BAR
Having already installed these on a previous bike, I know from experience that they are the best I've found for racing in the woods. My other bike is a KTM 250 XC-W with stock KTM bars. I purchased these for a 1999 KX 125 with Pro Taper EVO bars installed (1 1/8). They required only slight bending in my vise to line right up, avoiding cables and brake lines. The hardware is high quality. Bar Mounts have hex head fasteners, and the plastic hand guards mount up to the aluminum with deeply cut phillips head screws that are self tapping. They take a beating without stripping or deforming. Everything you need is in the kit, and the inner bar mounts can be installed two ways to give some flexibility in cable avoidance and bar width (I have bars cut down to about as short as they will go and I was still able to make them fit fine). This is a great product and in the future if I need handguards on a bike, I'm unlikely to try anything else.

Cycra Pro Bend Mount Kit
This mount kit does not fit my 2008 YZ250f with stock ProTaper handlebars. Had to order the $35 U-clamp mount in order for the guard to not interfere with my throttle. So, if your bike is like mine, expect to spend $150 opposed to the $115 for the "Universal" kit. If you really want protection for your hands, these are a great idea. I would suggest to order the kit without mounts, see how they fit, then order the mounts separately. I am somewhat disappointed as I expected this kit to work.

i have the twin wall bars and fit great but u might have to reverse the center bracets around depends on where ur handle bars mounts are at I have a '03 RM250 and they dont reach to the center like they say but they still fit great

Does the hardware fit on Pro Taper Evo Bars?
These Evo bars have seem to be unique in interior size: the bar end seems wide enough, but about 2 inches in, there is a structural support ring that does not allow insertion of many of the Moose or Acerbis aluminum handguard hardware.

I actually have the Pro Taper Contours with these Center Reach Cycra Hand guards and the bar end inserts fit just fine. This kit includes a couple different rubber sleeves that can be used in the quill type insert to make up room for different ID handlebars. You shouldn't have any issues mounting these on the EVO bar.

I actually have these handguards mounted on pro tapers contours with no issues with the bar pad getting in the way.

these hand guards clamp right next the the handle bar clamps so if your bar pad comes past the handle bar clamps then yes.

the center reach has a different bend in the aluminum that allows the cables to route and clear the handlebars better. The U-mount kit doesn't not have this special bend.

The center reach mount will not work with the Fasst Flexx bars. If you are going to be using the handguards on a dirt bike you can run the front triple or side triple mount depending on which style of triple clamp you have. If you are looking for something for an ATV you could run the new Acerbis Uniko ATV handguards or the Fastway fit system. We do not carry either of those handguards at this time.

Will these work with an aftermarket throttle tube that covers the end of the bar?

Sometime after market throttle tubes have end plugs that you can pop out and some don't. So if you don't have the end caps you will have to drill out the end of the throttle tube to get these to work. If you are running a throttle tube with a bearing in it these hand guards will not work.

Do i need to buy a hole new set?
i have PRO TAPER UNIVERSAL BAR MOUNTS WITH CONTOUR BARS and 7/8 clamps for the cyrca handguards.i wanted to know were you get the oversized handguard clamps from without buying the hole handguard set

So if you switched to a set of oversized bars and you just need to get the matching oversized handguard mounts, then you can actually just purchase a new set of 1-1/8 mounts/clamps for those Cycra handguards.
