This is about getting optimal performance on the fly. This allows the Z-Fi to self tune. It will affect your fuel economy but how much depends on the map you use.

How does this work?
How exactly does this self map and is the mapping switch compatible?...does anyone have this that can give a personal opinion?

Its like the auto tune from dynojet. It automatically tunes your bike while your riding. You have to have a bung welded in your headers for the 02 sensor. You will have a map switch so you can run 2 different maps if your not using auto tune. Its still best to get a custom map so the auto tune will tune off of that map.

My dad and I are building a 08 gaxr 1000 drag bike. What is the better choice power commander or the bazzaz performance?

Thats a question you'll really have to answer yourself. I'd get on the web site of both companies and start doing some research as to which company you feel the most comfortable with.

Are you going to tune it yourself or have a tech work on it? If someone else is working on it you will want to talk to them to see if they prefer one or the other. If you're doing it yourself check out each brands software. Also, Bazzaz offers a self mapping kit for the 08 gsxr, but Power Commander only has it for the 09. Just a few more things to consider.

I have the Power Commander V and could not be happier. Love it, smooths the power out. Also you can add other dyno jet products later down the road if you go with PCV.
