Worth the money and then some
" After reading all the reviews I decided to give these tires a try. MAN am I glad I did!!! I absolutely love these tires. I ended up geting the MX-PRO set for my 09 yz450f. I primeraly ride tracks in southern Cali where a lot of the dirt here is soft/intermediate. I tested out these tires at Pala raceway where the dirt is really nice and loamy. The front tire was on point!!! I could cut and square corners better than my previous set of tires and never once did my front wash out that day. The rear tire was just as great , everytime I wanted to give it gas the rear tire hooked up with ease. Not sure why all the other reviews complained about having a hard time mouting these up??? It was easy as any other tire out there. I will be getting these as long as they keep making them!! "

Decent Tires. Cant Beat The Price.
" Installation wasn't to bad bein my first time so can't compare to other brands. The Front tires bead sealed nice, but the rear is a pain the bead won't seal evenly, a quarter of it won't pop out. You have to really work with it. Idk if I just got one that is a little out of wack. But Once you get past that your golden. I put them on my 08 YZ450F and they seem to of held up after one ride. I Will probably try these again once worn. "

ARTRAX
" Just like everybody else these days...looking to save some coin. I read all the reviews on the these tires and thought I would take a shot. The front tire worked out great, the rear tire on the other hand was a different story. I ordered the 110/100/18, the tire is small compared to other brands that size. The main problem is it is to skinny and comes off the bead. I ran it in a two hour harescramble, and almost made it to the end before getting a flat (tire popped of the bead). I would buy the front tire again, not the rear. "

Better than expected!
" Just got the Artrax SX1 tires for my 2002 CR250R. The 90/100-21 & 120/90-19, these are super meaty tires and appear to be of great quality on par with my Dunlops. Only concern: had them mounted at two different shops (front/rear) both techs complained that they were some of the stiffest sidewalls they have ever seen. Not sure how this will translate to the trails. Will post update after ride this weekend. Appears to be a great buy for the combo. "

excellent value
" I bought 2 different rear tires after a friend said they sucked. Obviously I had to see for myself. First, the price is great. Second, They were just as simple to install as any other tire. Third, the wear is not even showing after 3 rides. Unless your getting your tires for free, doing something wrong installing them or spinning donuts on a gravel road, I think these tires are a wonderful tire. I'm no pro, so I can't tell the difference between a $100 dollar tire and $50.00 tire but I can count money. I kicked myself back when the Maxxis tires where selling for this price and I did not stock up. This time I'm ordering five more sets for stock. "

Great Tires
" I got the SX1 front and rear and they are great as long as it is not on dusty bluegroove conditions but then agian what tire is? No knobs are missing, but the edge wears a little quick at first. After it gets about 4 hours on it, the wears very slowly and then after about 6-8 hours it is time to flip. Really awesome tire for the price. CAUTION: just as Artrax has stated the sidewalls are very stiff. Tires are difficult during installation, but well worth it. "

Artrax SX front and rear
" Mounted on an RM250 two stroke. I had no problems mounting the tires like some have said. I have had them on the bike for about 2 months and the wear if as good as any other brand of tire. We ride MX and run on sand and loose intermediate tracks. 1st ride was on inter soil and I could tell the tires hooked up from the 1st corner on. In the sand the tires bite very well and I have no complaints about the front or rear. I would buy again. I will add that I pulled off a set of MX31s to mount the Artrax SX set. "

" Nice tread design looks like older Bridgestone or Pirelli? Did not see in the descrition anywhere they are DOT?! Was not looking for a street tire. Very hard compound, very stiff sidewall. MUCH narrower than my older set of the same size?!?!?! Cost me an extra $15 to have mounted cause the bead and sidewall were so stiff I couldn't mount myself. I personally would not buy again. But thought I'd give them a try since the pair cost as much as one Dunlop rear. Luckily my 450 has almost eatin the rear tire off already and I can go back to Dunlop. "

Worst Decision Ever
" I was trying to save a little bit of money and ended up costing myself way more than buying a descent pair of tires. After a two hour drive and about $70 in gas on top of a $30 track fee, the rear tire blew off the bead about 10 minutes into riding. I thought it was a freak accident and tried to remount it but as soon as I aired up the tube again the tire popped right back off the rim. Don't make the same mistake I made and save yourself the hassle. These tires are cheap for a reason, THEY SUCK! "

" I've only rode these tires 2 times out at bremen mx in ga, but figured I'd review it as there's some question about these tires. I have the MX pro tires on a rm 250 and I have to say they're good. I'm a pretty good C rider. They seem to hold in the corners pretty good and are very predictable while accelerating hard out of corners. Even when flat tracking the bike in sweeper type corners they seem pretty predictable and have good bite. I've only had two rides with these tires, so its not a boat load of experience with them, and they seem to be wearing ok so far. Track is mainly loam with little hardpack straight. If money is tight, these are a good deal. I mount my own tires, and I didn't have any issues mounting or seating the bead, a little soapy water goes a long way. "

Good tires
" I chose the hard compound tires, because I ride in clay. You have a choice of many compounds to choose from. The tread pattern works great. The only reason I'm giving these tires a four out of five starts is because the hard rubber compound can be very difficult to install. I ripped the bead on both the front are rear tire slightly while trying to mount the tires. This was probably because I was using regular tire spoons versus a large tire installing machine. On the front wheel I poked through the inner tube nine times. I finally gave up and had the front tire mounted by the dealer. I would recommend this tire set to everyone, but buy a medium or soft compound if you want to install it yourself. "

great tires!!!!
" These are great tires. I have a 2002 CR250 When i got these tires i was surprised by the size of the knobs, they were huge!!!! They are hard to bead, i had some trouble getting the tires on, the bead diddnt want to set. but whn i finally got them on they looked great. I went to Arizona on a 5 day ride. I rode on everything from slabs of rock to pure sand. These tires track great in hard pack they corner great, they really hold a line. But if you like to pin it out of turns while going slow the rear tire slides out like a mofo. In soft dirt the tires still handle great. Its very easy to hold a line. In sand these are amazing the rear is just like a paddle. they float in the sand, i cant tell you enough how great these are in the sand. I was flying up massive sand hill climbs that even a trx700xx couldn't make up, no joke. overall these are great tires, GREAT FOR THE MONEY!!!!! they are good for riders like me who can't afford the expensive tires. do you get what you pay for?
" sounds like a good deal.....worth more like $50 for combo i bought the IT combo.....the frontworks pretty well although it will not stay completely on the bead below 20lbs would be a good dual sport if it is a street legal tire. the rear is a joke, i got the 120/90/18. this tire is the size of a 125 tire. tread is short to begin with and wears pretty fast, expect not to get many rides out of it. also has wimpy side tread and only corners well in soft terrain. no control on hard pack. i took 2 rides on it (40 mi each, mixed intermediate terrain) and i am looking for a new tire......im thinking maxxis desert. maybe motosport wants to hook me up with a deal due to the short lifespan of the "artrax super enduro" (they actually say that on the tire) "

" I've had the SX1's for about 3 months now so I can honestly say that they have held up as well as comparable Dunlop(756/742), Michelin(MS3), and Bridgestone(403/404) tires that I have previously tried. And they definitlely lasted longer and perform better than the Kenda Millvilles I tried. The Michelin MS3's are still my favorite tire, but for sub $90, you will not find a better set of tires! "

Good choice when on a budget
" We have tested these tires due to budget tightening. We have ran them on a Honda CRF250R and a CRF450R at MX338 Southwick MA , WSP Winchester NH, MX207 Lyman ME., so far with more tracks to go. All either Soft or Intermediate Terrain. I am impressed they hook up great, straight line off the gate and again in the corners. I was very skeptical as we normally run Dunlop 756, but I have to say I will purchase another set of these tires. Good value for the price ! "

Good Buy
" I just bought this tires about a month ago. They are excellent in sand, mud and hard packed surfaces. I have to ride 3 miles on pavement to get to the trail, if you take a sharp turn, like turning onto another street and accelerate, the back tire wants to slide and you actually go sideways. They also wear fast. But other than that, they are a fantastic buy for the money. "

Tough tires!
" I just put these tires to a six hour test and so far they are great! I ride in really rocky and root filled terrain which usually rips tires apart in a ride or two. There was no chunking of the knobs and the front tire did not wash out like the bridgestones that came on the bike new. They lasted about twenty hours. I even like these tires better than my maxxis it tires that are on my other bike. The one gripe I have is that these tires are a pain to mount. Very stiff sidewalls but that is good for where I ride. Tire comparison
Asked by DarrenK, Vermont
I would go with the SX1 Artrax compound if you are trying to get something close to the D756. I have used both and personally believe the Artrax SX1 lasts longer than the D756 and is more economical without sacrificing traction.

If you are doing a mixture of sand riding and desert style riding you would probably want to go with the TG4. The wear life should be about the same as the Maxxis.

For the price, surprisingly these are a good tire. They hook up really well and have a minimal wear life. The SX1 tire is intended for intermediate/hard terrain, which would be a good compound for what you mentioned.

any advise?
Asked by mx450
Put about 10 psi in it, shoot soapy water in the beed, then bounce the tire up and down rotating it. Then pump it up big time. 75 psi should pop it on the beed then let her back down to 12 and you are set.
