The alpinestar knee pads where OK, not super comfy but wasn't unbearable. I ride a lot of woods and them being light weight helps a lot.

Best knee protection that is not a brace
i have been riding motorcycles for 35 years, primarily mx.this is the best knee gaurds i have ever had.i dont wear knee braces.im 45 years old & never had any knee problems.braces to me are too bulky, constricting,& uncomfortable.i finished 4th overall in the vet 40 class on the arenacrosstour.com series,12 races in ms,tenn,& al.this knee guard covers the inside of the knee as well.

Pros VS cons on this one
I'll try to make this one short. I'm 5'7 with normal size knees for my height, I find this knee guard very wide up top, and it doesn't have a strap for the top of the guard so it feels bulky... After putting pants and boots on, it still felt bulky on top, and with no upper strap, it doesn't like to comfortably stay in place for me . The straps are horrible too, they are very long and you do NOT wanting it sticking on itself... sticks better than the Velcro it's supposed to stick to. lol Overall : I would not recommend these to any of my friends, I would suggest looking around :) Hope this helps, and sorry alpinestars, my A-stars hat is the best I've owned.. I can't say this for your knee guards.

Great impact protection for the price. The straps are too long but I make them work. They fit comfortably and I wear them every time I ride. I crashed in my last race hard enough to tear a large hole in my riding pants over my knee and I didn't feel any pain in my knee. I also wear these riding my quad and the extra protection on the inside of the knees prevents me from getting bruses from slapping the tank shrouds while riding

Not Sure
These don't fit comfortable inside my boots and the top doesn't have a strap so not sure how well these will stand up in an actual crash. For the money they're nice but I'd rather upgrade to ensure the cups don't slide off.

Great for the price
It's great for the price. very confortable and does its job... only problem I have is it hurts after awhile because of it constantly rubbing against my skin while riding

Excellent Protection On the Budget
For the price of these guards it seems like a steal, they offer enough protection to keep you safe and whenever i ride with them i forget i even have them on when theyre tucked under my riding pants and boots

Knee protection
If you are looking to only provide protection for your knees without purchasing a $300 knee brace, this is the ticket. Another great feature is the inside protection for the knee. If you squeeze the bike with your legs these work great. For the money this is a 5 star rating.

Great Knee Guards for a Great Price
I bought these for street riding and have been very happy with them so far. Like alot of the other reviews I've read on other sites the straps are a bit to long for my legs. My legs do get warm when riding with these on hot days but for me its well worth it for the added protection for me knees. Even thou the straps are not as tight as I would like them they are very comfortable and on cooler days its very easy to forget you have them on. Now that I have these the I won't ride without them.
