Not worth the money

AS bionic vest is very hot for summer riding/racing in southeast. Lower end of back protector tends to ride over top of pants and uncomfortable. Not best design for serious motocrosser.

Great Fit

I'm about 5' 10" 160lbs and i wear the medium size vest. it fits really well and the built in kidney belt really keeps everything tight. really comfortable to move around in you hardly feel like you have it on.. if you're looking for protection and alot of mobility this vest is awesome.

A: It depends on your needs and wants. If you don't want the full protection and would rather have breathability then this is the way to go. If you think you're going to need the maximum amount of protection get the jacket.

Q: How about 6'4" and 183 pounds?
I read your answer stating that XL is for 6' to 6'1". A large will probably fit my body better but the XL might be longer. They need to make a large tall version.

A: we are in the process of updating sizing charts for all products. in the meantime you can go to alpinestars sizing chart which will help you in sizing the correct protector.

How does this compare to your standard chest proctector. Why should we buy this instead of a regular chest protector

A: The biggest difference is the SP vest comes with a built in kidney belt and it has a little more spine protection.

A: A large fits from 5'11" to 6' and XL fits from 6' to 6'1" so technically you would be in an XL. However, you seem to be a fairly thin build so I would recommended trying a Large.

Q: What type of modifications with the Leatt are needed?

A: no modifications will need to be done on the brace itself, I was referring to the protector will need to be modify to accommodate the brace. As to what those mods would be, I don't know. But from looking at the back spine protector, it would seem like it would obstruction how the leatt sits on the back.
