Good buy
Nice set of hand guards I always ran the protaper guards before but when I got my 2013 rmz250 went to get some hand guards and couldn't find them so got the acerbis uniko mx vented one and think there real nice they mount well and for having plastic mounts hold up well when I lay it down they just roll up or down pretty durable. and there nice and sturdy at high speed on the mx track not all flimsy like some other ones and they look good on the bike. over all good set of working hand guards.

Wont ride without them
Great protection for a small price. They hold up really well too. I've had a few pretty good crashes and they haven't broke. The clutch lever broke through the plastic mesh part, but they didn't bend or snap off.

Great purchase
just got these and it made my bike look a lot better and it helped guard my hands from roost's and it is very durable. i dropped my bike twice and they survived the to drops and they didn't brake and the hit branches and didn't brake either so i highly recommend them to people who trail ride and they were easy to install add the clamps and my some stuff around but thats it.

Awesome for roost
Awesome product by acerbis, never fails , great for roost and rocks. Nobody wants roost from a 450 on your hands. Looks awesome too, gives your bike that outdoors look.

Worth every cent!
These hand guards are great! They protect, and are flexible. For under $50 they are a deal too. Haven't broken either one(yet) and I've been doing some major bush whacking!! Great product from a great company.

Great Product
Awsome set of handguards they look great and most importantly do the job protect your hands. I would recomend buying the aluminium brackets for the hand guards making it stonger. As the ones that come with it are plastic and makes it flimsy.

Pretty good.
These hand guards look good and so far they work good. I haven't wrecked the bike yet with these on there so i cant really comment on the durability as far as that goes but they do a good job of keeping brush and briars off of my hands. The brackets that hold them to the handlebars seems really flimsy but it may be that way so they dont just snap if you hit something.

Excelent Hanguards
First off... Great Price!!!! I have used these Acerbis guards on my sons last few biles and they work great. We had frequent breakage with others, but the flexibily of the plastics used to mount these have saved us time and time over. Thanks!

Bars?
Are there the steel or aluminum bars that go behind these guards, for these guards? They are very flimsy and i think they are going to snap.

These guards are all plastic. they are only meant to protect your hands from roost. if you want protection for say trail riding through woods and that, go for bark busters. they do hold up suprisingly well though even though they are all plastic. i dumped my bike a couple times with them on and they didnt break yet

How easy do these hand guards break? or do they?
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 4 years ago Location: Portland, OR
That all depends on how hard you crash. These don't break unless you crash into something or bang them off the ground. Just like anything else, during a wreak nothing is unbreakable.

Ive had a few pretty good crashes and they haven't snapped. They go right back into place

Does the mounting kit fit FLY fatbars handlebars?
MotoSport Staff

The mount kit included is for 7/8th bars so you will need to purchase an over sized mount kit.
