DHH headlight
" this product is not what is in the picture. it is the same light with a single headlight in the middle, not 2 little ones as pictured. the light is good quality plastic but the lights are underpowered and it comes with no cords or plugs and no instructions. and the sticker is already applied so if you want it black you have to peel it off. i would suggest getting something else, unless you are very crafty. i was very unhappy and sent it back immediately and didnt find something on this sight for what i need. VERY NICE.... BUT:
" Very nice add to your bike, excellent product from acerbis like always.. BUT.. if you are installing it on a MX bike be aware you will need to spend 300 more on a more powerful stator and a cable harness. This light only comes as "the light itself" to be attached to your bike, but does not include cables to connect it to your bike. Other than this gave a great look to my CRF! "

Not worth it.
" I bought this light for my drz400sm and while its much lighter it doesn't have nearly enough brightness. Even though the stock light leaves much to be desired these is not even close to a 1/3 the performance/output. It was actually very dangerous to use after dusk. The optics of the lense are very poorly designed, it throws light out in many ways and much of it reflects back into your eyes. There was also no way to adjust the height of the beam so it was all ways to low. The straps are too small to fit around the fork legs of my bike. It won't fit the wire harness of the drzsm very well either. Reliability is very poor also as the low beam element failed after 3 hours of normal street riding. This is my second headlight I've owned from acerbis, I also owned the non dot ddh ( 2 halogen bulbs) and will be the last. The shroud does however like very nice with a thin stylish design. "

Great Fit
" The headlight fits great without any modifications, and has nice styling. The Light itself is nice and bright, but personally, I wish it was a little brighter. The color is almost an exact match, but it is very close. "
Will this work?
Asked by KkCc
That all depends on how you are planning on powering this headlight. Off of a stand-alone sealed battery? Off of a new lighting-stator? If you are planning on using your stock stator to power this headlight, then no...that shouldn't work for you on your bike. I hate to say it, but whether this headlight will work depends on how it will be powered on your bike...

will tthis work

If you bike was equipped with an high output stator or your bike had a headlight on it, than this will work. If you don't have anything mentioned above than this will not work.

Switch
Asked by DRZ1
This will not include any switches or wire harness. The bike must have this already. These are mounted using the OEM wires.

If your bike doesn't have a high output stator than you will not be able to run a headlight. I know that stock from the MFG. that bike didn't have one. You will need to look into that before purchasing this light. Also, look into Baja Designs because they offer full kits with everything you'll need.
Answered by james718
Do you sell a wire harness for this light I bought?
Asked by jlbsrb
These are meant to be mounted utilizing the OEM wire harness. If you are missing this, you'll have to locate this from that source. Acerbis don't offer any wire harnesses.

will this work on an crf250r 2006
Asked by weldon
If your bike currently runs a head light (which it didn't from the mfg.) then you can run this head light. If you bike doesn't already have a headlight than you will need to look into a high output stator that will give the bike extra electricity to power the headlight.
Answered by james718
Motosport techline states this will work on 2000 yz250 without any mods. Is this correct?
Asked by zachandcheysmom, Cottageville, WV
Unless your bike has a headlight already, you'll need to have a hi-output stator to power this light.

say i install this on a ktm 125 sx. if i were to hit medium sized jumps, would the light fall off?
Asked by Keef
The mounts for this light is solid as long as you hook it up right.

Would I be able to install this on a YZ250?
Asked by NoOtherNicknameWasLeft
these lights fit most Dirt bikes all thou you will still need to get a lighting coil for your application to give the light the power to work.

Would this interfere with the Trail tech vapor Computer kit on 2005 RM250?
Asked by Amiro
This sits in front of the bike were a number plate would typically sit.
Answered by james718
Will a Normal, new RM250 have the power source for the headlight?
Asked by Amiro
No, a stock RM250 doesn't produce enough electricity to power this headlight. You will need to look into a high output stator for your bike, if you want to install a headlight. If you need help, contact our sales staff and we can look into one for you.
Answered by james718
Is the yellow light match the color of the 2005 RM250?
Asked by Amiro
this is the older yellow, not the same for newer Suzuki's.

what else do you need to get after you buy the acerbis headlight?
Asked by chooch
You will need to figure out if your bike will accommodate a headlight first. Basically if your bike has a headlight already, than you won't need anything but this for installation. But if you bike doesn't have a headlight and the bike wasn't designed to run a headlight, you will need to get a hi-output stator to power the light before purchasing this headlight assembly.

will the work with my 1985 kdx 200?
Asked by DirkBagle
As long as you have the source to power this headlight it will work. The KDX should have enough to power the light when the bike is running. The hardware to mount this to the bike will be included.

will it work on a 2003 ktm300exc
Asked by honda1881
you will have to find an high output stator to power the light. Your stock stator does not produce enough to power this headlight. I would recommend contacting Rick Stator for assistance. We, unfortunately, do not stock or carry high output stators.

Asked by Kilo, Wichita, Kansas
I don't believe the stock/OEM components will accommodate the Acerbis head light housing. This headlight will be comparable to the OEM though, but it's not going to be a HID.
