These glide plates are a must in my opinion for any dirt bike. I only ride on tracks, but the protection is still needed. I can't say whether or not the plate keeps the frame from flexing and effecting handling or not, but it sure protects the bottom of the motor and frame. It's a pain when doing an oil change, as I still remove the plate, but still worth it to keep the engine safe. Excellent fit and great quality.

2012 Honda CRF250R
It installs very easily with a second pair of hands. It overs good protection of the bottom of the frame and engine cases. I love it because it has a hole in the skid plate to drain the oil as well. It also comes with a piece of foam to fit in between the skid plate and the motor to stop mud build up to add weight to the bike during a moto, very clever idea.

Nice skid plate
Purchased the Works Connection glide plate for my 2012 yz450f, the fit was perfect but the only complaint I have is that the crank case oil drain plug is not accessable. Im going to have to modify one of the holes on the bottom so I can get a wrench on the drain plug. I have used Works Connection product before and I would recomend them.
