I love these tires!

I love the Michelins. Great traction, handle well, and I never pinched a tube off in these running mx. These are what I will use for the season!

Great set of tires

Starcross MH3's are very good tires. I get approximately 30 hours from a rear tire. Excellent traction, although they don't like to be rear steered. I run these tires exclusively on all of my bikes. Great durability, and nice aggressive knobs.

Love These Tires!

Friend of mine recommended these. I used to run Dunlop but these hold up better and work over a greater range of conditions. Even do a decent job when track is a bit toward the hard pack side. Because of tire pattern I can reverse them to get the edge back.

Best tires

I've tried all kinds of tire combinations and none have matched up to quality and performance of the ms3 and mh3 tires I run ms3 on a 250f and am getting 2 rear to 1 front the tire hooks everywhere mud, sand, hard pack doesn't matter the mh3 does last a little longer then the ms3 but lacks the traction in mud but is the tire of choice for hard pack tracks. Overall the ms3 and mh3 are the best tires out there it is all I use

MH3s are great tires in intermediate terrain

I've used Bridgestone 403/404 combos on my '00 YZ125 for years in intermediate terrain. A buddy suggested I try these MH3s so I gave them a shot. I have been really happy with the front end feel on hard pack, and even in lose top soil. The rear has an aggressive look to it, which I liked, and feels that way under acceleration and braking. Fire roads or single track these tires have provided confidence and great wear resistance. They do not wear like the iron-like Maxxis ITs, but the MH3s give far better performance.

Starcross

tires hooked up well and installation was fairly easy. They dont last as long as i'd expect for a set that's $140+ though. still a great product.

Great Purchase

My son is the racer. He is 14 and really halls butt around the track. I need tires I count on keeping him upright. These tires were a super purchase. The tires hook up like no others I have ever had. They look tough and perform tough. These are the ones I will stay with. Motosport service and products are in front for the hole shot!

Good Tires

Tires look and ride good, hook up really well, but do not last very long at all. Would assume the tires are good for truly soft terrain.

Great tires

Good traction in soft terrain. Very stable. Seem to wear pretty well, too. I will buy these again.

MotoSport = SATISFACTION!

I ordered these tires in a tire combo pack and ordered a quantity of 2. I cant even explain how fast they were at my door, and for FREE! The 3 day shipping option had these tires on my doorstep ready for a race in less than a week! The price on the tire combo was amazing as well! Free shipping along with a low price was the best deal i could find. The tires themselves were perfect out of the box, and still on my bike now! I havent had to use the 2nd pair yet because they are that durable! I even rode Red Bud the other day and still had great tread upon leaving!

Tires ordered, shipped and put on ready to race at RedBUD!!!

Which tire should i get?
i was wondering what tires for a 1996 cr125 would be best for riding in sand/dirt pretty much offroading not track tires

The Starcross series of tires are great tires. For your application you would want the MS3 style which would be their medium-soft compound that works well in the sand and softer conditons. For your 1996 CR125 you will want an 80/100-21 front and a 100/90-19 rear size tires. Another good tire that i really like are the Bridgstone M403/M404 Combo. This is an intermediate terrain tire. They work well in most terrain and hold up really well.

What type of tire woulyou recommend for beginner mx rider?
MotoSport Staff
1 year 1 month ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Tires suggestions actually would depend more on the terrain you are riding. Most tire manufacturers make Soft, Intermediate and Hard Terrain tires to best fit the customer's needs. If you are unsure on what style terrain you ride the most, it would be beneficial run an intermediate tire. If you need any help picking some out feel free to give us a call and we'd be happy to get you set up. 1-888-676-8853.

What type of this tire do i want if i plan on doing indoor sx this winter?

Your gonna want the MH3 or H12. SX is usually hard packed slick terrain. Stay away from the sand/mud type tires. You need lots of knobbies that are closely spaced for lots of traction.

What does the XC mean, like the difference b/t a s12 and a s12 XC?
MotoSport Staff Expert

This is what the Michelin website says about the new XC series: Every aspect of MICHELIN® XC-series has been designed to maximize traction. * Reformulated rubber mixture improves durability by at least 25%, compared with previous MICHELIN® tires * Improved grip compared with previous MICHELIN® tires, thanks to new rear tread compound and changes in casing design * Redesigned tire structure incorporates an additional casing ply under the tread, which helps improve flexibility of the tread area. This in turn improves feedback, traction and warm-up time. * Thicker sidewalls in the bead area help increase lateral rigidity, further improving feedback and performance. * Proven, championship-winning tread designs remain unchanged from original M12™ tires * Aggressive shoulder knob design promotes cornering stability * Soft- to intermediate-condition tire for motocross or offroad * Tall, narrow knobs for mud penetration * Front knobs turned 45° for mud evacuation.
