Excellent bars!

I installed twinwalls on my kx250. I have went on 2 rides already and they work and feel great! It would have been great if they would have come with the rubber mounts or washers for the rubber mounts but all in all the handlebars are great and couldn't ask for more.

First Purchase and very happy

First of all, just want to say I'm by no means a professional. I rode dirt bikes for about 4 years in my youth back in the early 90's and have been riding street for past 10. I just recently got back into dirt bikes as I bought my son (age 15) and I a pair of KX dirtbikes. Only our 4th time out and I decide I'm ready to learn wheelies on my 06' KX450F, NOT! Darn you youtube! Yup, as soooo many of us dopes do, we see how easy it is to do tricks on youtube and decide it’s so easy even an old man can do it, but what started off fairly well at first riding just a few inches off the ground for 3 and 4 seconds, ended abruptly by me showing my son how to eat it by ripping too much throttle ending up with a severely damaged ego, a seriously bruised rump shaker, busted throttle tube, and you gessed it, a bent set of handlebars So that’s my story, now on the review... The purchase was very easy, shipping time wasn’t bad, and assembly was simple. I called in prior to the purchase and the sales rep was friendly and extremely helpful in making sure I ordered everything I needed. I was pleased that everything was packed nicely and order was complete and even happier that when I assembled it, I didn’t need anything. The product is absolutely solid, from the design to how sturdy it looks and feels, I would definitely recommend this product, but make sure to buy the kit and the rubber grommets, as they will not fit in your standard mounts. As a side note, the prices were good so I will be buying from them again, however on another purchase (shorty clutch and brake levers for my ZX9R) it has been on backorder over a month!!!! Cmon guys, before the seasons over please!!! Install tip for newbs like me. I struggled aligning the handle bars at first, because I tried assembling the mounts to the handlebars first, so what I figured out (maybe not the best way, but it worked for me) was to assemble the bottom portion of the mounts first and get them fairly snug, then line them up so the handlebars fit perfectly when laid in, once this is done, tighten the bottom so there is no play in the mounts, then lay in your handlebars and get the top mounts snug before getting your torque wrench all around.

Great Mounts and Very Strong Bars

This combo is excellent. I did make the mistake of initially getting the mounts that go on top of current mounts (I have a 2011 CRF 250R) and they did not show up for that year. Those mounts raised my bars too high. Anyway I exchanged the mounts for the 2010 Honda mounts and they worked great and look very nice.

Twinwall combo

This combination on any bike would be the right move. It has everything to convert from 7/8 bars to 11/8 bars. Plus the bars are the best on the market. Then with those Turners bar mounts(the best combo kit)

Will the 1 1/8 Bar Mounts fit my 2000 rm 250?
On my bike the lower part of the bar mount is solid with the triple clamp. Will the upper part of the bar mount fit with my 7/8 mount on the triple triple clamp?
MotoSport Staff
Over 7 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
This kit will include the adapter for your 2000 RM250 to convert from the 7/8 mount to a 1-1/8th mount. Make sure to profile your bike correctly so you receive the correct set of mounts.

Clamps and mounts?
Are these the turner clamps or are they the renthal clamps? If they are would I have to buy the renthal clamps Seperetaly
MotoSport Staff

These are Turner clamps included in this combo. If you would like to purchase Renthal mounts instead, you can give us a call and we can check the pricing and availability of those for you.

If get renthal bars for my sons ttr-110, which bend would you recommend and will the brake and throttle cable be long enough to mount properly?
MotoSport Staff
Over 8 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
I would not recommend these handlebars for the TTR-110 as they are a full size handlebar that will be incredibly wide. In addtion, they do not produce these in a tall enough bend to match the stock height. I would look at getting the Pro Taper 7/8 handlebar in the KLX110 bend. This will be a similar handlebar to what is currently on the bike, but will be much stronger. with this handlebar, the stock control cable will still work.

I have a 1981 honda atc 250r, if i go with the 918 CR high bend will i have to change the throttle cable or cluch cable because of the height?
MotoSport Staff
Over 9 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
You shouldn't have to change cables on on your ATC250r. The CR high bend shouldn't be any taller than the stock bars on that and the adapters only add a small amount of height. Usually there is enough play in the cables to allow for about 1-2" of height change.

I would like to replace my stock handlebars with these. I have a 2002 Honda 400ex. Which bend is closest to the stock bars bend?
MotoSport Staff
Over 9 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Unfortunately the Twinwall bars are not available in a tall bend comparable to what came on your 400ex. If you look at the Standard 7/8 Renthal bar, they do have an exact replacement which is the 787 - 400EX bend. These will be much stronger than the stock handlebars, will bolt right on, and have the same dimensions as the stock handlebars.

Bar preference?
Hi! I ride a 2005 crf250r and I have been riding with a bent protaper contour for quite a while. After being extremely annoying I decided to change it. I want to get this setup with the turner mounts but I have no idea about the sub models you guys offer. I ride a lot of enduro and ocasional motocross and im a tall rider at 6'1. What do you recommend for this? I want my bike to feel a bit larger from pegs to bars what do you recommend while still not going to far from stock setup? Thanks
MotoSport Staff
Over 9 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The stock bar is 971 bend which would be the same as the 997 bend in the Twinwall. The only other bar that is taller will be the 922 bend and that would give you 20mm extra height which is just under an inch. If you go with 922 all the specs will be the same except for the height, and so you will gain that extra height you are looking for.

Bend? Plus what bars and clamps should I get if I'm 5'11 an?
What bend is closest to a stock 2004 KX250f and wondering what bar or clamps I should get because I'm 5'11 and pretty tall.
MotoSport Staff
Over 10 months ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Handlebar choices can vary greatly between riders and there is not a correct handlebar bend for tall or short guys. Plenty of tall guys run shorter bars and vice versa. I would first ask you if you would like to change what you currently have, do you want taller?, do you want shorter?, or do you want more sweep? These can all play a part in choosing a handlebar you will like. The 997 Carmichael or 996 Stewart bends are honestly the most common ones sold and work for a wide range of riders. For the mounts, you are stuck with the adapter mounts if you want oversize bars due to the lower handlebar clamp being integrated into the triple clamps on your 04 KX250f. The only way to get around this would be to purchase an aftermarket clamp with removable bar mounts.

2001 rm 125 bend?
what is the best bend to choose from with a 2001 rm 125? also what is the stock bend for the bike? im 5' 7 and weigh probably around 150. im 15 and havent picked new renthal bars out before so im kind of new to picking bends.
MotoSport Staff

bar bends are all rider preference so what I like may not work for your riding style. the stock bend for a 01 RM125 is 800mm width, 71mm height and 62mm of pullback.

What bend ? yamaha warrior 350?
what is the closest bend to stock on my 2002 Yamaha warrior 350
MotoSport Staff
Over 3 years ago Location: Tualatin
None of the charts we have access to show the stock bend for a Warrior. I would say something probably around 150mm in height, which is the height of the Raptor 350 bars. The tallest Twinwall bar is the RC High at 119mm tall so you may want to pick a different bar to get closer to the stock height.
