Worth every penny!
Having other over the boot pants that worked but didn't last is what got me looking at Klim gear. Yes you can buy less expensive pants but they just don't last. After researching what model was best for my application I went with the Dakar. All I can say is WOW! These are some pants! The quality of workmanship and the thought that went into the design is second to none. The vents really do work, the fit is great and for me, the Tall version is perfect. Get over the price and make the purchase! You won't be disappointed.

2012 Klim Dakar Pants
When it comes to performance offroad gear, I include Klim. This is my first pair of over-the-boot Klim pants, and the reviews don't lie. I found the size to be spot on, the length is perfect, the cargo pockets just right, and the quality and workmanship top notch. Sure they are expensive, but whats not anymore. Klim's are built to last. I still consider them affordable. Buy them once and "fugitaboutit".

true that regarding klim quality...these are really well made pants as far as stitching and material goes...they also fit very well...order your pant size, not larger....But overall design leaves a little to be desired; should have zippered pockets and deeper; wish they had better padding on the butt, or at least an inner sleeve sewn in where you could add your own...their 2 tiny pieces of foam the size of a piece of whole wheat bread is a joke....why bother....they look well, but for the cost should have a better functional design

2012 Klim Dakar Pants
I have only had this a few weeks and have been riding twice this winter open trials and they are warm. They fit good after getting them adjusted write. They fill different from the inside the boot MX pants and I am filling more comfortable in them. I am hoping that with the vents that they will work in the 100+ summer weather here in Eastern Washington State.

Great riding pant, especially for tall guys
I needed some pants for a 1500 mile dual sport ride and didn't want to wear any of my in-the-boot mx pants (which are terrible if you go down on pavement). Klim has a great rep and they make the Dakar in tall sizes. I'm 6'2" and 190. I usually wear a 33 jean. The pants fit perfect. They are now going to be my riding pants for all trips, street and dirt. I'm sure they don't have the crash protection of good riding pants, but have to be better than jeans which is what I'd usually wear. Great ventilation, but can get chilly if the temps get down into the low 60's. Wish they had womens sizes for The Girlfriend.

Great Pants!
I've been riding a long time, and have worn everyone's gear. These are high quality, well contracted pants. The pockets on the legs are the perfect addition to off road pants. Easy to put boots on and they fit great all day.
