Product Description

Important note: This piston is for a stock sized bore. Please measure your cylinder to check clearance before ordering.

Wiseco leads the performance aftermarket by producing the highest quality forged pistons in the U.S.A. Wiseco is unique because they forge all of their own pistons in-house, and produce all of their own forge tooling in the U.S.A. This allows Wiseco to control all aspects of their manufacturing process from raw bar to skirt coating on the finished parts.

Extreme racing conditions demand the strength and toughness that only forged pistons can offer. Compared to cast pistons, forgings are tougher and more durable, and will stand up to the abuse that high performance motorsport applications require. Most castings are brittle, have no grain structure and tend to fail catastrophically when the material yield strength is exceeded. Forgings have condensed grain that is aligned to the features of the part, which produces higher mechanical properties, and resistance to impact and fatigue. Each forging is designed to optimize the strength-to-weight ratio, and maximize performance.

Wiseco Pro-Lite motorcycle pistons are forged using the highest quality materials available resulting in a piston that provides excellent performance and durability. The Wiseco Pro-Lite piston features a race-ready dome finish with smooth edges for improved combustion flow. The rings, wrist pin, and circlips are manufactured by Wiseco under their strict quality standards to make sure every piston kit fits correctly, ensuring top performance is achieved.

  • Bore size: 47 mm (Standard).
  • Much stronger than stock.
  • Tight tolerances for quiet running.
  • More hours with peak performance between piston changes.
  • All Pro-Lite pistons include rings, wrist pin and circlips.
  • Note: Oversize piston requires cylinder sleeving top end bearing not included in kits.

I had to replace the top end in my 2010 KTM XCW and decided to go with the WISECO PRO-LITE 2-STROKE PISTON because i have always used Wiseco. I have never been dissapointed with wiseco & they will continue to be my first choice in the future. My bike is back to like new with tons of snot when you twist it.

Would this piston fit in a 94 kx125 the piston measures 2 n1\8 an the sleeve is about a thousandth bigger?

You will need to make your measurements with a caliper or micrometer to be more exact. The stock size for a 1994 Kawasaki KX125 is 54.00mm

Just above the engine VIN it says stroke bore 54.5mm?
and looking at your kit for my engine it says its a 56mm is this correct just for the clearrances and rings and stuff?

Standard bore size for a 2001 Honda CR125R is 54.00mm. I'm not sure where you are pulling your information from but it's always a good idea to measure the piston that is in the bike. Take off the cylinder and us a micrometer to measure. If you don't know the history of the bike it could be a number of sizes. 56.00mm is considered oversize by 2mm and is used when boring of the cylinder is required.

I need a .40 over top end kit why cant i find one?
what is .40 over in milli-meter equal

For a 2000 Yamaha YZ125 the stock bore is 54.00mm. Wiseco offers the stock size as well as a 56.00mm which is a 2.00mm overbore. With a set of calipers or a micrometer, check the size of your piston. Please feel free to contact us once you have the piston size so we can help you find what you'll need. 1-888-676-8853.

How many piston rings?
i have a 1995 cr125 how many piston rings come with this kit?
MotoSport Staff Expert

this is a dual ring piston.

Does this piston have the two rings or one. If not where can i find one with two rings besides the stock one.?
Expert MotoSport Staff
We typically stock dual rings Wiseco pistons, but some applications they only offer a single ring piston. Without knowing what type of bike you have, I can't look up the piston to tell you if it's a dual or single ring.

Are these stock compression pistons?
MotoSport Staff Expert
Correct, when ordering a piston, you will be purchasing the stock compression.

What is the size of this piston in MM ?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Portland, OR
It depends on what bike it's for. As long as your profile your bike correctly it will pull up the standard size piston and any over sized piston that is offered for your ride.

Does this package come with a gasket set, or is that a seperate purchase?
Top 500 Contributor

The piston does not come with a gasket. If you need gaskets I would recommend purchasing a complete piston kit.

Do i need to replace the jug to?

MotoSport Staff Expert

This is a OEM type replacement piston. It was designed to function with the oem cylinder. If you cylinder is damaged than I would replace it. Otherwise this piston will install just like the OEM one.
