2013 Suzuki DRZ-400S
It does what I bought it for. It gives me almost double the range between fill-ups and I can visually check the status of my fuel capacity at anytime.
The fit was a little off. Once you remove the stock tank and bolt this one in there are a couple of problems.
1) The seat does not fit. I had to remove the aluminum tang from the tank and grind it down shorter to allow my stock seat to slide in place far enough to allow it to be bolted back in position.
2) With the tank installed, you can not pull the choke out on the carburetor to full choke. I can only get half choke or off position now unless I shave some of the knob off or replace it with another mechanism. Very cold morning starts are difficult now that I can not get full choke until I fix this.
3) Fuel petcock opening was too small. I had to ream the opening out a little bigger to slide my stock fuel petcock in and bolt it up.
4) I was surprised they did not include a vent line. Fifty cents worth of fuel line for a vent hose would have been more important to me out of the box than a sticker.
Bottomline, I now can go much longer between fillups. The stock tank just did not give me the range I wanted and I was filling up every day, sometimes twice a day. Now I have two or three days between fillups or one LONG ride. Worth it if you can get past the above noted annoyances.
