Product Description

  • Decades of racing development went into the design of the FMF Powercore 4 to improve the power and performance of your dirt bike or ATV at a practical price.
  • The FMF Powercore 4 is a muffler that will boost power and torque throughout the power range, making the Powercore 4 usable for all types of riding.
  • FMF designed a Hi-Flo end cap and core for the Powercore 4 to increase power by creating a free flowing end cap and a core that allows room for exhaust pulse. This results in a consistent power curve.
  • The FMF Powercore 4 uses and advanced cross-weave packing that is more durable then the traditional packing. The cross-weave packing also keeps the Powercore 4 at a reasonable sound level by dissipating the exhaust sound.
  • FMF constructed the Powercore 4 using aluminum to keep the weight down with stainless steel components for extended durability.
  • The FMF Powercore 4 includes a USFS approved spark arrestor.

Just put this on my 05 crf250x yesterday and I must say there is a considerable amount of difference in hp. As always motosport had it to my door in just 2 days, I have ordered quite a bit from this site and never been disappointed I will be back for sure. Along with the megabomb header this pipe is the only way to go without digging a hole in your wallet. Thanks guys from motosport.

The Powercore standing proud on my YZ250F

Remains first choice for exhausts and mufflers
In my earlier 2 smoker riding years, FMF was the brand of choice... happy to say years on (and a change to 4 stroke), that I am still impressed with their products. As earlier reviewers have claimed, their slip-on is easy to install and (when compared to stock) has a noticeable increase in the lower RPMs. It's fairly meaty sounding, although I would be surprised if it broke the 9x decibel upper limit (yet to check). Can't praise the Powercore 4 enough and have already recommended it to a good friend as my product of choice.

Honda xr250l baja 1995?
hi im from uk and im after a new exhaust fot the above bike, current exhaust still on the bike is original, will this exhasut fit this bike? if not do you recommend one that will? thank you.
17 days ago Location: Wolfforth, TX, USA
As long as you select the right info on the application i.e. make, tear, and model, you should be fine.

Your 1995 XR250 baja looks like it was the same as the 1996 XR250R sold in the US. Unfortunately I do not have specifications for European models so you may want to call FMF directly to see if they can confirm what will fit your bike exactly.

Will my stock header work with this exhaust?
I have an 08' CRF 450X and was wondering if my stock header is compatable with the Powercore 4 exhaust?

Yes it does and still performs well.

yep if they make a can for your bike the stock or fmf header will fit
MotoSport Staff
25 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Yes this item is designed to fit perfectly on the stock header of your 2008 CRF450X. Keep in mind jetting may be required to achieve a properly running bike. Just make sure to profile your bike correctly if you decide to order, to make you receive the correct exhaust for your model.

What carb jet should I use on a 2009 Honda TRX250X?
MotoSport Staff
1 month ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
After checking with FMF directly, it is suggested that you run the stock jetting for this Slip-On (for the 2009 TRX250X) if you are running anywhere from sea level to 1500 feet.

What carb jets should i install in carb, 2003 yamaha TTR225 ?
live at 6065 ft. elevation, cheyenne, wyoming. installing FMF powercore4 slip-on, onto stock exhaust pipe. thank you, mick
MotoSport Staff
1 month 1 day ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
FMF is recommending you start with the stock jetting. There are too many factors that play into jetting a bike such as elevation, temperature and humidity to give an exact answer. Based upon your elevation, the jetting will end up leaner than what is stock from Yamaha so that is the direction I would go.
motorider43 1 month 13 days ago Location: Sacramento, CA, USA
I live in northern California will it pass sound testing?
MotoSport Staff
1 month 9 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
This would depend on your local riding area or track's sound requirements as well as the application. Typically you will not have any issues with this exhaust.

Does this impact my mpg on 2012klx250s. I have not jet yet either. Is that an issue?
MotoSport Staff
1 month 16 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
With some rejetting and this exhaust there may be a minimal difference in mpg, but not enough to raise any concern.
Top 100 Contributor
1 month 2 days ago Location: Spokane, WA, USA
shouldnt effect mpg much at all just changes the way the bikes power is put to the ground.

Will this make my bike more powerful and faster?
if i got this with the FMF Powerbomb Header - Stainless Steel would my 07 yz250f be more powerful and faster?
MotoSport Staff
1 month 21 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Yes, this will change the power output of your YZ250F. You can expect the bike to rev faster and higher without it falling off as quick on the top end. When you change the exhaust on this bike, you will want to make sure that you adjust the jetting accordingly to get the most out of this upgrade.

pipes just change how the bike makes power and where in the rpm range. i have the same system on my 09 450 and it makes the power come on harder and pull further in the rpm range but it gave up a little off the bottom to get it. hope it helps
