Product Description

This kit includes a Renthal steel front sprocket, a Renthal Twinring rear sprocket and your choice of chain.

The Twinring rear sprocket is the longest lasting, most durable offroad sprocket you can buy today. It's unique design and hybrid construction was developed over five years. The Twinring sprocket is made of a 7075 T6 aluminum center with an outher ring of teeth made from Electroless Nickel Coated steel; the outer ring is heated to 200 degrees celsius before fitting to the center, after cooling the two are permanently bonded. The special construction means that this sprocket offers the best of both worlds: the long-lasting durability of a steel sprocket and the light-weight of an aluminum one.

Features:

  • Self-cleaning mud grooves between every tooth on both sides to prevent dirt build up.
  • Flat socket head screws add additional strength during side impacts
  • Flat-face design keeps weight to a minimum and makes the Twinring as narrow as a normal
  • sprocket.
  • Precision CNC machined to extremely tight tolerances.

2005 CRF250R - This is the setup to use!
Renthal chain is a little heavier than the DID non o-ring (Honda manual), but it does not streatch like the DID. I also found the Renthal chain matches these sprockets better than any other. I race hare scrambles and get all kinds of debris mixed between the spockets and chain, but this setup has worked out to be the best I've tried. Somewhat self clearing and is durable. Clean it after your ride, hit it with a water dispersant (WD-40), when the bike is finished drip drying, lube the chain with your favorite non sling. For me it is definitely worth the money.

Minimal Maintenance
I have installed the twin ring sprocket on two different bikes with a DID chain and been very pleased. The light weight steel gear ring on an aluminum sprocket performs well and will out last several sprockets with aluminum teeth. Currently have about 70 hrs on it and expect to get at least another 25 hours. Have not installed this new set yet with the Renthal chain but anticipate it will do well also.

Fantastic
Not only does this sprocket set look amazing it performed better than I could have asked for. It is about twice the weight of aluminum but you won't feel the difference on bigger cc bikes

If you are sick of replacing sprockets ever 15 hours on your 450 like me, get one of these. Way better life so far.

Yes, once you have specified your bike, you then have to specify the front and rear sprocket teeth quantity just before you add to cart.

Can you buy a new steel outer sproket ring when it wears out?
MotoSport Staff Expert
unfortunately you must replace the whole sprocket once it wears out.

I think you are asking about the actual steel teeth on the rear sprocket. If so, I don't think it is sold separately. You can purchase the rear sprocket assembly separately without having to buy it in a kit that would include the chain and front sprocket. Hope this helps.
