Must Have
Very easy to install. If they fit any better they would come with the bike as a stock part. You should put these on your bike even before you put gas in it for the first time.

Good product.
This brace does help to keep the radiator core from twisting, but they aren't as effective as say the devol radiator guards. Also this guard can only MINIMIZE damage, not totally eliminate it. So if you hit a tree or another object hard enough, these will fold up like a taco. I would go as far as to say these are really only effective in protecting your radiators in wash out/ tip over situations. I still like them though as the do help to protect a bit and aren't as expensive as the Devol guards.

These are great at keeping your radiators from bending back. On my second ride with my 2013 CRF450 I laid it over in a sandy berm and dug the radiator in deep. It filled with sand but the radiator didn't budge. They only help protect a little in a real hard side load, but these are worth every penny when it comes to keeping the radiators from being pushed back, which happens to me a fair amount when I fall.

Great, But a Pain to Install.
Bought these guards for my 2006 CRF250 when I bent my rad falling coming out of a berm and had to buy a whole new rad. They are well worth buying, they'll probably save me money in the long run. These were such a pain to install! You have to mount the rad guard to the rad grill in one place, where you cant even get your hands in to get the nut onto the bolt cause the grill is in the way, so I had to get someone to help me put it on with smaller hands than me. Other than that, they're a great product.

Do what they're designed to do
These braces have a nice low profile so you don't really know they're there, except for the nice Works Connection logo that peeks out from behind the shroud. These braces will not protect from rocks coming at your radiators, but they're not designed to. So 5 stars all the way!

WC makes good stuff. The only thing I didn't like was the allen screw used to clamp to an aluminum frame. They throw in some extra bolts too!

no they are not compatible with the PWR radiators

They for sure did not line up on my 2007 RMZ450. I can't say for all bikes that they won't work, but the top eyelet was about 1/2 inch off on mine, and I returned them.

I have devol radiator guards.. can i use these in addition? the devol guards have a single arm that braces to lower shroud bolt?
MotoSport Staff

I do know that people have used them in conjunction before but sometimes it may take a little tweaking or cutting of the inside of the shroud.

Will these work with aftermarket rads such as fluidyne?

These are designed to work with the OEM radiators. If your aftermarket radiators are wider than stock you will probably have mounting issues. But if the radiators are comparable to OEM you'll be fine.

If I order just one side the other unprotected radiator on my bike will be ok if I just tear it off, won't it?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Portland, OR
These are sold in pairs so you would have to buy both, and if you rip off a radiator i wouldn't ride that bike until it's replaced or repaired.
