Best $90 part ever
I just put this on my bike like an hour ago. After you get the fuel mixture dialed in, you're left with an incredibly snappy throttle response and more power than you'll know what to do with. I didn't even think I had a bogging problem until I put this on! Greatest $90 I have put into my bike.

Installed on my 2011 WR450 and my sons 2006 YZ250F. Must do as instructions say and replace O-ring on older bikes. Once you get to the bolts that attach the bowl to the carburetor the installation is easy. Re-jetting not necessary, but proper jetting overall is a must. It helps with hot starting and does smooth out throttle response. Hard to tell how much performance increases. Based on easier starting and better throttle response it is worth the cost.

i bought my 2005 Honda crf250r not knowing it had this already on it but after taking apart the carb and cleaning it i noticed it has this. my bike was always faster than the other stock 250's and now i know why.this is a great investment and its discrete so you can run in the stock class and nobody will know that you have this. it helps a little with the bogging issue but when paired with the R&D Power bowl the bogging issue goes away completely

Good tuning product
I ride a 2005 Honda CRF 450X. I have a full FMF exhaust system, with jetting tuning and other mods. This Boyeson Quickshot 2 definitely helped improve throttle response, snap, and added some power. Or it just made it feel more powerful because of better and smoother response. It did not eliminate bogging, but decreased it, and with the bike jetted to pour fuel to the low end, it is running strong. It is a little pricy for what it does.

I installed one on my 06 TRX450r. It helped some with response. Still had a slight bog but not as bad. If you wanna get rid of any bog get this and have your quad dyno tuned!

bought quick shot for more performance. it didnt improve response as claimed, but worse than that it leaks gas non stop. removed it and put stock back on. waste of $90.00. more mad that it wouldnt seal.

I wouldn't buy this for KTM bikes, it will not solve your bogging problem. This gives too much gas upon acceleration! You need a leak jet or BOYESEN QUICK SHOT 3 ACCELERATOR PUMP COVER to lessen the amount of fuel on acceleration.

I noticed a small difference. Didn't totally cure that slight hesitation off dead idle. I would say it was probably worth $45-50 range for the improvement. Looks cool though and very easy to install. About 10 minutes

we'll for the money i'd like to get more than a tiny cover and a sticker but.. you do get what you pay for 2 kicks starts cold everytime, one kick hot and pulls the front end from almost stalling in 2nd gear i'd say the bog is gone easy install for the weekend racer or the do it yourself crowd. cant really see it on the bike but the cover does look pretty cool Installed on 2010 kx250f

This would be on the more difficult side. The directions that come with this part are very specific. Here's a little tip though, I don't think the instructions say this, but remove the whole float bowl from the carb, this will make the installation a lot easier. The hardest part with this job is getting the carb off or turning it sideways to get to the screws holding the bowl on.

Does the quickshot come with the gaskets seals and diaphram?
I specifically need to know if i have to buy the whole OEM diaphram kit with the stock cover or does this kit come with the diaphram and seals. (I need to replace the diaphram either way.)

The Honda CRF250R '08 uses a different Boyesen Accelerator Pump Cover, called the Check Valve Model. We are in the process of figuring out why this will not come up on the website. I personally installed one on my bike. I was able to remove the float bowl without removing the carb from the motor. If you can't access the bottom of the carb on the motor than yes you will need to remove it. It makes it a lot easier to install this with just the float bowl off.

What It Is

The Quickshot 2 is the second-generation accelerator pump cover from the geniuses at Boyesen Engineering. Designed specifically for the '07 Honda CRF250R and CRF450R, the QS2 can also be fitted on all other four-stroke MX bikes with some slight carburetor modifications.

Hits

When the original Quickshot was introduced, we raved about its ability to eliminate the bog that four strokes suffer from when the throttle is twisted open quickly from idle. For 2007, Honda relocated the float bowl check valve to the accelerator pump cover, and the QS2 takes that design one step further. Bolting the QS2 on takes only a few minutes and can be done at the track if some precautions are taken to clean the carburetor and surrounding area first. (For our sea-level locale, the following are the carburetor settings we tested the QS2 with: 168 main jet, NKUS needle (2nd clip from top), 48 pilot jet, 45 leak jet, fuel screw 1 3/4 turns out, accelerator pump timing .115".) The difference we felt in throttle response with the QS2 bolted on was astounding. In stock condition, it was possible to kill the CRF250R's engine by holding the throttle wide open from idle, but with the QS2 installed, instant throttle response was gained. On the track, the bike felt livelier and much snappier, with no hesitation at all. Thanks to the instant throttle response, our test bike felt faster and more powerful, too.

Misses

The QS2 is model specific, but it can be used on other bikes if the ball bearing in the float bowl's check valve is tapped out with a small punch, first.

The Verdict

Once again, the guys at Boyesen have hit a homerun. The Quickshot 2 is, dollar for dollar, one of the best investments you can make if you ride a Honda CRF.
