Product Description

The creation of the SST pipe was no accident. R&D invested countless hours to find a way to extend mid-range pull and over-rev. With the SST, the powerband becomes stronger throughout the mid-range with phenomenal peak horsepower thus making it a pipe that is ideal for a broad range of riding. The benefits brought together by the SST makes this pipe one of the most impressive bolt-on 2-stoke modifications that money can buy.

  • Makes for crisp response at the crack of the throttle.
  • Revamp your power band with impressive top-end extension.
  • Quality constructed for maximum durability.
  • FMF ensures an accurate fit every time with their Tru-Flo stamping in the building of the SST pipe.
  • Chrome-plated finish over carbon steel for maximum durability and aesthetics.
  • Supplied O-rings ensure a flawless fit.
  • Match the FMF SST pipe with the FMF Powercore 2 Silencer to get the best performance from your 2-stroke.
  • Note: May require use of high octane fuel.

Note: Pipe may include factory indentations for proper installation clearance.

Un mached
I used to have a pro c on my yz85 and it was junk it bent too Easley. This pipe gives your bike more power and is tuff. One problem though is you have to mess with your jetting a little I think I use a 138 main jet and a 40 pilot jet and the clip all the way down.

Excellent Product
The SST fit great and the over all performance is great too. Although for racing I think the fatty would be the better choice.

Everything you'd expect
Purchased for an 05 YZ250. Nice, broad power. Looks great. I paired it with the "long" powercore 2 and it seems good. A word on jetting. I went with the stock jetting on pilot and main and switched from the stock N3EJ to the N3EW needle as FMF suggests. But my fuel mix is Amsoil oil and race fuel @50:1. So at the recomended 4th clip setting, it was too rich. The 2nd clip is perfect and she just rips. Lots of over rev. You really will feel the needle change, yamaha went with it in the later model 250s for a reason.

Best 2 Stroke Pipe out there!!!
I purchased one for my 05 RM 125 and man you talk about waking up an animal... This thing screams in the power band... I also have the shorty silencer and Boyesen Rad Valve which help im sure but this pipe does everything I could ask of it!!! Thanks to every one at Motosport.com...

Great exhaust
This is a great exhaust and fits very well on my CR 250. On this site when you look at the silencer it says only compatible with SST expansion chamber but when you look at Expansion chamber it does not say anything about needing the SST silencer. So when I ordered the chamber I then had to order the silencer the next week when I went to install on my bike with my old FMF shorty it did not match up with mounting holes. Now I know!

Best purchase ever
My 2005 RM 250 is a low-mid engine with decent low end and a really strong midrange. The one problem was that it totally flattens out in the upper RPM range. Keep reving the engine past the upper part of the midrange and all it does is make more noise. I get pulled big time at the end of straights by 450Fs. The bike just runs out of breath. I added a V-Force 3 reed, a 10oz Steahly flywheel weight to smooth the low/mid transition and a DSP Power Now Valve to both sides of the carb to improve low-end throttle response. All these helped improve the engine response but didn't help the upper end power. WOW. The FMF SST pipe and Powercore II silencer made a huge improvement. I hoped it would help a little. It helped a LOT. Maybe it's the combination of the pipe, reed and DSP parts that did it but the bike revs to the moon now. The low and mid-range are improved too. I highly recommend this pipe for an RM 250.

Fmf sst pipe
just bought it and installed it. it is an easy install, about 20 min for the pipe and shorty. it increases the power of the bike (2002 yz85). it flies! definiately worth the money, if you are looking for an increase on your 2-stroke.
