Does this cam increase performance and by how much?
Is this a stock replacement with auto decomp, or does it increase horsepower and how much? Also, should I upgrade both intake and exhaust or will this one be good with stock intake cam?

You always need to replace both cams and the chain as a set. (ie: yamaha) hotcams will increase performance. They have 2 models; stage 1 & 2. Stage 1 is for more low to mid while stage 2 is more mid to top end.

Is this a stage 1 or stage 2?

this is neither stage 1 or 2. What this does is make the older Yamaha 4strokes (02 and older) have the newer auto-decompression cam. This eliminates the decompression lever and allows the bike to start a lot easier. It's one less thing to think about when starting the bike.
