Love the black wheel look
Rims are nice and make a huge improvement of the look of bike when compared to stock silver wheels. Very happy with purchase. Only down side is paint chipping from roost on black rims and yellow lettering wearing off. Though it's minor and still holds up well

After denting the stock rim, I broke down and bought black Excel rims to fix my wobbling problem from bent rims. The rims look great, are super strong, and have yet to bend or dent. If you plan on taking apart an old rim I would suggest that you order new spokes and nipples. I tore up like 11 nipples, and turns out you cant get just nipples at the local dealer. None the less, great product, just plan ahead.

this rim was so easy to lace i would recomend this to any body who needs a cheap but very good rim and it looks great. they do fit stock spokes and nipples

i bought a set of excels for a 06 crf450. will they work for a 09 yz450? or is there a different spoke pattern or something

No, rims vary depending on amount of spokes and the pitch of the spokes.

Will 2008 KX250F stock spokes work with this rim?
My 2008 KX250F has a stock, excel black rim that came with it. Will a new excel rim fit the stock spokes just like the original excel rim that came with the bike?

Yes they should fine. Keep in mind, if you haven't changed the spokes since you got the bike, make sure they aren't stretched out or tweeked any.

This rim is designed to be laced with the stock/OEM hub. Keep in mind though you can not use the stock/OEM spokes, you must use the Excel Spoke Kits.

Majority of the Excel rims require Excel spokes and nipples. I do know that some 85's utilize the OEM spokes. You may want to give us a call to verify. 888-676-8853.
