Does what it was designed to do...makes small adjustments to the pilot mixture easy when the engine is hot. Looks good and seems durable. Install took about two minutes. I don't have a whole lot of time on it yet but it hasn't backed out like some other posts.

oh yeah its ez . the best way i have found how to get the stocker out is to use a bit from a cordless screwdriver it is short enough to get under the carb but not hit the motor. be care full not to lose the spring washer and o-ring from the stock one you have to use them on your new screw. hope this helps.

It can be done with the carburetor on the bike but it is much easier to do it with the carburetor off. You must be very careful as there are 3 small items( washer, spring, o-ring) that sit up inside the carburetor body that can be lost very easily. If you can have the carburetor turned upside down when removing the screw it is almost impossible to lose track of these pieces. Sometimes they will stay stuck in the carburetor and it is just as bad to have extras stuck in there, as not having them all in there. If you do install this with the carb on the bike, it is a good idea to put a white rag on top of the engine case under the carb so when you pull the screw if the those items happen to fall they will be caught. Sometimes they can fall out and you wont even notice it as they are so small and think they stayed in body and then with the new screw installed the bike runs poorly due to an air leak there. Just make sure to keep track of the items so you can assemble the new screw like the one that came out and you should have no issues.

Where can you put this?
Can you put this on the stock carb of a CRF 250R 2006 Model? Does this replace the jets? if not how do you put it in and what does it replace on your old carb?

It goes in the very bottom of the carb. Right now you will see a tiny brass flat-head screw that is a pain to adjust with a screw driver. Remove it, and it looks like the top half of this fuel screw. The bottom half sticks out of the carb for easy tool-free adjustment.

yep fits stock carb it replaces the fuel screw you just dont have to have a screwdriver to adjust with this one and man is it better!

do u have to get a new bowl to use it because my 2009 kx 250f air/fuel mixture is on the inside of the bowl

That doesn't make sense, I've never heard of the fuel screw being inside the fuel bowl. How do you adjust the fuel mixture than? reference your service manual for the actual spec on the factory setting. I've always been told that if you have to adjust the fuel screw out more that 2 full turns from MFG specs you need to rejet the carb.

put new screw in all the way back out 1 1/2 turns test throtle for bog keep going out till you get no hesitation. if its colder the screw will be turned in more and as it gets warmer out back the screw out. its a moving target ride to ride if the temp isnt the same.

once you install the product just screw it all the way in and back it out the factory number of turns. usually 1.5-2 turns out from seated. after that just make small adjustments until throttle response is optimal. its a piece of cake and the instructions are detailed and well written.
