Great pipe
this pipe is great, if you only or still have stock exhaust on your bike, if you buy this pipe you will notice a big difference in power. it has a nice sound to it, looks great on the bike and it was easy to install , i have this paired up with the pro circuit platinum pipe on my yz 85 ,,huge power gains. this just makes the bike rip even harder. great pipe, and in my opinion its better than fmf

Great Silencer BUT
great siencer lighter, louder, and gives it a bit more lower end grunt. the only problem is i need to re jet my carb because my jets are stock and its making me foul plugs quick so i would suggest getting a re jet kit with this silencer

Big improvement over stock
I bought this silencer for my 2007 CR 125 which I use for Hare Scrambles. It replaced the stock silencer which eventually started to sound beat up and "ratty", even with fresh packing. Installation required a bit of shimmying to get things all in place, but it took no more than five minutes to install the silencer. The pipe seems to hold up very well to the abuse dealt by woods racing; soap, water and a sponge will restore the silencer to brand new condition. I haven't seen any dings or scratches from rocks, which I am sure have been hitting it. The R-304 Shorty performs exactly as advertised, it increases power in the low end of the power band. The increase in power is very noticeable, and a big help for GNCC's and Hare Scrambles. If you race motocross, the regular R-304 would be a better choice for it's ability to increase power in the mid to top end. Overall the R-304 Shorty silencer is an excellent choice for a two stroke silencer, it's lightweight, powerful, sounds great and is relatively inexpensive; and paired with the Pro Circuit Platinum pipe it works even better.

Will not work on 2008 KX100
This silencer will not work on a 2008 KX100 . Thats the only reason it gets one star for installation cause it don't fit . I liked it just couldn't use it . This silencer is made to come around the right side of the bike mine goes around the left side .

Silencer 2012 yz125
Swapped out stock silencer for this one. Lighter than stock and gives it a little more power down low. Really nice sound also. Mates up nicely to stock pipe. Overall very happy with this.

Best silencer on the market!
I purchased this silencer for my 03/04 CR125R right after a full engine rebuild (stock silencer ridden right after the build though as a comparison to the new one) and right into the first corner i could feel the difference in how much more pep and low to high end power it gave it. Its being run with a FMF Fatty pipe, best combo!

your not going to want any type of shorty because those are for tight track and such. i would recommend an fmf powercore2 with a fatty pipe. or a gnarly. but if your a pro circuit guy then id recommend the platinum pipe with the r304 factory sound. basically pick a color they are both going to give you great performance

i have a 05 rm 250 and run a full pro circuit system and it helps out a lot. run their long silencer over the shorty, since you are riding sand you will need all the top end you can get. also try a tall gearing

R304 SILENVER POWER?
Hi, i am looking for a silencer that gives more bottom end power, would this be a good silencer for my 05 YZ 125 for bottom end?

The shorty silencer will maximize the bottom to mid. The factory length silencer will maximize the top end.

Does this exhaust fit/work on a 2003 ttr 250?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Tualatin
No this silencer will not work for a TTR250. If you pick your ride in the ride selector it will bring up any exhaust we carry for that bike.

No, these are like comparing apples and oranges. if you compare them in size then you will notice that the ttr-230 has a much bigger silencer, this accommodates for the proper back pressure and using a 2-stroke silencer would decrease engine life, and performance
