Excellent
I have used other aftermarket footpegs before and these Pro Taper pegs are amazing. Super wide platform helps you find your footing. Their is plenty of grip to keep you from slipping off in nasty conditions.

These pegs are great when new but do not last long for off road. Im already on my 3rd pair of replacement cleats an at $70 for new cleats these are to expensive to keep on my bike

Platform says it all
2010 CRF450R Vet Pro ,These pegs are great, I have never ran aftermarket pegs so I do not have alot to gauge off. After 20+ years of riding I finally splurged and purchased aftermarket pegs. I have only about three rides on them but they feel excellent, alot more room to move around and they keep your feet where you want them. I do wish they were a little more pointed but I have not slipped off the pegs.

Protaper foot pegs
Great Product comfortable when over shooting a jump. I added the 4mm extension to get me a little higher. Great Product. The only issue I have is the price little expensive.

Awesome upgrade
I purchased these pegs for my 2008 RMZ 450 and they're awesome. They are very aggressive, your boots will feel as if they are glued to the pegs. I only worry about being attacked by them when I wreck.

Mud magnets
These pegs are great until you have to ride in mud. They fill up with mud right away and all traction is lost. The teeth are also so agressive that they ruined my brand new boots in a couple of weeks.

Fit and Finish
Look and fit great but have not had them out yet due to weather. Pegs are 2.25 x 3.25 inches. Sit at the same height as stock and about 1/4 inch closer to the shifter. Slight arch to the pegs. Price is too high IMO.

Peg to shifter/brake distance?
Does the distance from the shifter to the peg remain the same and is the camber adjustable on these. Are they worth the money over the lightspeed pegs in your opinion??

These pegs are wider than stock so the distance may be a bit shorter but not much. I have ridden with these pegs...with all the options that come with them they certainly have advantages over other brands. Camber is not adjustable...just the height.

What It Is

Pro Taper is the brand that forever changed the way we looked at handlebar technology, and its first venture into the aftermarket foot peg market is nearly as revolutionary as its first foray into handlebars some 17 years ago. In addition to offering a super-aggressive platform for your feet, the Pro Taper SPI 2.3 Platforms offer something that no other aftermarket foot peg has before: a replaceable cleat with height adjustability.

Hits

Installing the pegs was a snap, as they bolted onto our Honda CRF450R test bike perfectly. Compared to the stock Honda pegs-which are the thinnest around-the Pro Taper pegs feel massive and offer tons of added support and traction. The pegs come with new peg pins, springs and cotter pins, so in addition to improving the level of support and traction, the pegs can freshen up the feel of your bike if your stock foot pegs had that "clapped out" feeling. The most unique feature about the Pro Taper pegs is the removable cleat system, which allows you to install different cleats to raise or lower the overall height of the pegs. For $69.95 per set, the replacement cleats are available in +5mm or -5mm heights, as well as standard, for those who might simply wish for fresh edges on their pegs. The cleats are made of billet 7075 aluminum and have maintained their sharp edge, even after the first 25 hours of riding that we've logged on them. The cleats themselves have a unique design that offers more support in all positions, thanks to a raised center section that forces the soles of your boots to dig in..

Misses

If there is a weakness, it could be the four bolts that hold each cleat in place. Using red Locktite is a must for piece of mind.

The Verdict

The Pro Taper SPI 2.3 Platforms have it all: more support, better traction and a superior, functional design. These are the Ferraris of aftermarket foot pegs.
