Product Description

The best filter in the world can't do its job if there are leaks in the seal of the airbox. That's why Twin Air provides a complete line of products to ensure a leak-proof, fool-proof fit.

Don't let your stock set-up rob you of power and engine reliability. Twin Air is known for superior airflow filters. The PowerFlow Kit is a step above and beyond as it replaces the stock air filter cage with a stronger, lighter and better fitting version. These kits eliminate leaks and provide more air for power, and the filter can still be removed in a snap for cleaning. Twin Air eliminates the need for the spark arrestor screen because the PowerFlow air filter has a backfire-resistant layer of foam laminated to the inside surface supported by a rigid billet aluminum cage for improved airflow and power output.

  • Billet aluminum cage provides a tight seal to the airbox and replaces your flimsy plastic stock cage.
  • The backfire-resistant filter can easily be removed for cleaning.
  • A Twin Air PowerFlow Kit includes a pre-oiled PowerFlow Air Filter, a special aluminum cage, and all necessary mounting hardware.
  • Note: Image is for representation, actual product may very depending on application.

Replace your air-restricting stock backfire screen with the New Twin Air PowerFlow Kit and get the most from your motorcycle!

Gold priced filter cage
This is a very nice filter cage, but it's not worth 150 bucks. I bought one for a CRF250R a few years ago and it was very trick. Since then I just cut the metal wire screens out of the stock plastic cage (which weigh about half a pound) and just buy the twin air backfire proof air filters. P.S. don't expect a huge horsepower increase, just improved off idle throttle response.

execellent fit and craftmenship. i love the aluminun basket so much that i bought 2!

Waste of money
Just take the backfire screen off the stock plastic cage. Does the exact same thing! Than all you need is the filter wich is alot cheaper than this kit. WASTE OF MONEY.

Power Flow Kit
Overall, I think this is a really great product, especially for the CRF450's. Makes changing and cleaning the air filter a much easier task. The stock filter cage is a PITA to change, lets dirt in, and is hard to line up correctly. This kit lets zero dirt in and lines up in a snap. Best part I've purchased for my bike.

Nice filter
The only thing that is wrong with lthis kit is that getting the filter clean takes much more work than a K&N, but the airflow is just as good if not better.

Trick
fits perfect. cage is much lighter than stock. I like very much. I gave it 4 stars because its not really nessesary unless your riding woods. For a motocross track just take out your stock backfire screen and you will get the same effect. Ive never seen a bike catch on fire from that screen being removed, have you? Regardess of the fact that is a waste of money, its very trick.

I currently own this product for a 2008 CRF 450. Wondering if this same cage will fit my 2010 KX 450?

No, they are different fitments.

Does this filter have to have the filter grease that is used with the stock filter to seal it to the air box?
No it doesnt, any automotive grease will work also.

I think that is a "personal Preference" issue. I run this system and I never run grease around the edge. I do maintain three filters, adn change them after every day of riding. I also keep the inside of the airbox clean. I have never had any issues with dirt or sand getting into my carb.

Would you recommend the twin air kit on a yfz 450 over the modquad with k/n?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Por+land
Both kits pretty much do the same thing so either one would be a good choice.
Over 3 years ago Location: Syracuse, KS
I would go with the Twin Air foam filter because i hear K&N's let in dirt.

After cleaniing this Twin Air foam filter , will "NO Toil brand" filter oil be appropriate?
This filter comes pre-oiled, according to a previous posting, but is it acceptable to use "No Toil" foam filter oil, or any other foam filter oil, or will the best results only occur by using Twin Air foam filter oil?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Por+land
You can use No Toil oils on these filters with no problems...

2008 rmz450?
will i need to re program the computer with this filter??
MotoSport Staff

The bike should automatically adjust for this kit. Depending on what else you have done to your bike, remapping might be needed.

After installing this filter, will it be necessary to change the jetting on my Honda CRF150R ?(with aftermarket pipe)?
My mechanics have already spent hours re-jetting my 2007 Honda CRF150R after installing an aftermarket exhaust pipe. (the results were excellent). If I were to install this Twin Air filter, would it be necessary to re-jet the bike again?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Por+land
Yes most likely you will have to re-jet again. Since they already have it tuned for the exhaust, the changes should be very minimal for the power flow kit.
kfx400racer Over 4 years ago Location: Arkansas
I have an 05 kfx 400 is this filter as good as the k&n filter?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Portland, OR
Yeah they are about the same. Personally I would run the twin air. They are cheaper and normally filter just as good.
