I bought this because I was tired of replacing aluminum sprockets...steel will last longer. The style and fit is great! It looks better than some of the other steel sprockets out there too. Trust me unless your a pro, you won't notice any difference between aluminum and steel except in your wallet.
This sprocket brought the bike back to stock gearing, I bought the bike used and it had way to big of a sprocket. I always buy sun star sprockets for my Hondas because they work great and make the bike look in stock form
The XR650L weighs well over 300lbs, so why save a few ounces of weight on an aluminum sprocket when a steel one will last much longer? While not rating high on Baller Factor, this sprocket will be a workhorse for many trail miles.
Works well, Priced right! Not as fancy as the expensive aluminum sprockets but it does its job well, unless you want the lighter weight of aluminum or fancy colors, save your money and get this, very durable and makes your bike move just like every other expensive sprocket out there!

Looking for a sprocket 41 t?
Hi I have a Honda 2003 XR650R and I need to replace the sprockets , my front one has 15 teeth and the rear has 41 teeth . I have bought a DID 520 VX2 gold X-ring chain but need the sprockets, so could you please let me know if you are able to supply me with these sprockets.
Thanks Graeme 0424100955
Unfortunately we do not offer a 41 tooth rear sprocket for the XR650R. We do have a Sunstar Available in a 39 though. You would need to run a 14 tooth front sprocket though to get close to the gear ratio of the 15/41. We do have a Sunstar 14 tooth front sprocket to make this gearing combo possible.
