This new piece is excellent quality! very nice, It was an easy install and has a sturdier mounting configuration than stock. The internal spring is very strong eliminates the need for the stock rubber hoop to hold the kickstand. I just did a dessert ride with very high speed whoops and it didn't move at all. Highly recommend this you will not be disappointed but the price is high nut to me it was worth every penny"

I was concerned about strength where it attaches to the chassis via the lower chain roller. I don't think you would want to lever the bike up on the kick stand but for normal use (just leaning the bike on it) seems more than sturdy enough. I would have given it 5 stars but the supplied tapered hex head long bolt that replaces the lower roller bolt has a very soft head. You basically end up distorting the hex head just to tighten it. I just hope I don't have to take it off or I"ll be looking for a hardened replacement bolt."

Disliked the vertical orientation, with bike on stand. Bike was pretty much was completely vertical, with kickstand down, on a level concrete surface. Fear of bike falling over. Bent bracket to move "the pad" of the kickstand further away from the bike to allow for additional lean of the bike, when on stand. Better, but still not as much lean as using a triangle-rear axle stand. Afraid to bend bracket any more. Suggest manufacturer reduce kickstand "length" by one inch or so to resolve problem. Expected better engineering for $45 more than a Trail Tech unit."
