The review would be higher but they are not the easiest to install. Sidewalls are quite stiff. That aside these things are rototillers. I had to stay way back from my son because I kept getting pelted. I have only 5 hrs in the trails and a day on the track so my durability is yet to be seen. I can say that I did have dunlops on both yz450s and the difference was night and day as far as traction and steering ability. The yz450 is noted to be tough to turn and this is a different bike with these tires. Does the yz still needs more help hes but the tires were a good start.
I ride in all differant terrain and this tires shreades it all from rock to mud, mountain trails and sand it is a very durable long lasting tire that hooks up awsome the best thing is when your done riding half your tires not gone
Put these amazing tires on my CRF 450. These tires are great for anything, dirt, rocks, sand, and mud. They handle well, pretty easy installation, little pricey but they are well worth the price and will last a long time. I would recommend these tires to anyone and will probably purchase these again. These tires are the best set up I have found for the terrain I ride on. I live in CO and these tires hold up under the most difficult terrain without chunking and have a great tread pattern. I would highly reccomend them and are my favorite tires for where I ride.
This would really depend on how much road riding you intend to do. Anything that is intended specifically for off road use is going to wear quickly and will not handle properly on the road. The option you have here is to go with a dual sport tire or a DOT knobby that will work better on the road, but not work as well offroad. Honestly if you spend most of your time trail riding and only spend a small amount of time on the road, i would stick with an offroad specific set of tires and try to be as easy on the tires as you can while on the paved road. The loss of performance going to a tire that will work better on the road, will not be worth it if the you ride more offroad.
I do most my riding on trails and grass fields. I want to do a bit a track riding also but want a good overall tire to accomodate all my riding conditions. The grass fields are hard clay ground.
