The Maxxis Maxxcross SI tires I highly recommend for anyone in the Offroad Motorcycle community, the tire holds up well in all conditions as I can attest as a racer in the AMSOIL GNCC Series. Sand, Roots, Rocks, Hard-Packed, Mud. From woods to moto this tire delivers.

Not the best tread

The tread on the tire is smaller than most other tires. About half as tall as my friends tire was new

Okay

It is good while it lasts, gets slices and wears quicker, after it is wore down, it doesn't perform great like the Pirelli's I have used for a long time now

The only rear I will race with!

This tire is amazing. The first one I bought I got down in Flordia right before the start of the gncc in West River Gate. The tire did amazing in the sands of Flordia. I then raced in Goregia, South Carolina, and went on a weekend long ride in the West Virginian mountains and the tire stuck to everything I could throw at it. The best part was THIS WAS ALL ON THE SAME TIRE!! After that first impression nothing has changed and this is the only tire I will race with. It finds traction on anything and is very flat resistant. Recently I started running the tire with the tubliss system and even love it more.

Wear?
does this tire wear very fast

Maxxis tires in general have a great life span. These tires are not known as wearing fast, like the D756.

Does a rim with spokes come with it?

only if it states it comes with spokes, otherwise, you must purchase the spokes and nipples separate

What the difference between 120/90/18 and 120/100/18?
MotoSport Staff Expert
The side-wall height is the difference.
Over 4 years ago Location: Brisbane, Australia
The number sequence works like this - The first number represents the width of the tyre inside the rim. The second number represents the vertical height of the tyre (measured from the inside diameter of the tyre - not the seat of the rim) The third number represents the diameter of the rim (in inches) The first and second numbers are metric measurements, the third number is measured in imperial (inches). So a 120/90-18 is slightly "shorter" in height than a 120/100-18.
