Cheap and simple
Easy to install, very cheap in cost so if it breaks its affordable. But i wouldn't worry about breaking it too much because i am still on the same one i got 1 year ago...and i am one of those people that hits the shifter down an extra 5 times just to make sure its in gear. And my shifter still looks about the same from when i got it. I love this shifter and would by a another one. That is, if the one i have ever gives out.

Amazing
you cant really find one of these that are bad but this on is amazing. i guess its just how long you want it to be its short but that's how i like it and there not allot of free-play so its right on every time.

Stripped Teeth
I think this is my third lever as well. they all strip out. I thought it was my shift shaft causing issues, then thought I wasn't tightening the lever enough, but now...after this and seeing other reviews, STEER CLEAR of this. Aluminum on such a high demand part of the bike is not a good idea.

Do not buy.
I have bought not 1 not 2 but 3 of these msr shifters. I thought it was my bike that was stripped out but come to find out after two rides these shifters strip out. GO with the sunline products

Good Lever
Very light and strong. No problems so far after about two months. Lever is just a tiny bit longer than stock. Good price for the quality.

Will this shifter be longer than my stock shifter in a 1996 cr125?
I have a 96 cr125 and i hve trouble with getting my boots under to shift so i was wondering of this shifter will be more extended out

These will come the same length as the OEM shifter for each model. Sometimes (depending on the model) you can turn the shifter up a few degrees when installing onto the splines of the shift shaft so it sits up higher to make it easier to reach underneath.

How does the lever stay on? Does it have a screw cause in the pic there in none.?

The one shown is just a general product picture so it may vary depending on what bike you have. It bolts on the same as stock, so however your stock one is, this one will bolt up the same way.

yes it does come with a screw that holds it on. i recommend you buy the steel shifter and not the aluminum. i had bought the aluminum shifter and after 10 minutes of riding it striped out and i couldnt shift gears.

the little bolt thru the bottom of the lever locks in a grove on the shift shaft on the bike and some bikes have a different style than shown but the one in the pic is the norm.
