The D.I.D ERT2 chain is the most trusted chain in Supercross and motocross racing because of its reputation of meeting the high quality demands that are required when pushing the limits. It was designed with the intention of making a chain that is optimized for the purpose of racing. D.I.D beefed up the ERT2 chain by increasing the pin size by 3% to give the chain an average tensile strength of 8,100 pounds. Increasing the strength of the ERT2 chain did not come with a sacrifice of weight, in fact D.I.D was able to shed 5% from the previous ERT chain.

D.I.D 520 ERV3 X-Ring Chain - 120 Links:

The D.I.D ERV3 X-ring chain is the ultimate high-performance, lightweight, low-friction race chain available and is used extensively by many off-road race teams. The ERV3 X-ring chain utilizes D.I.D's patented X-ring technology which reduces friction by 50% over standard O-ring chains for minimized power loss. The pins on the ERV3 X-ring chain have been put through a patented heat-treatment process to produce a pin that is 1.5 times harder than conventional pins. The result is a chain that is significantly stronger and offers better wear resistance than many other chains on the market. D.I.D ERV3 X-ring chains feature a gold-plated finish that resists rust and adds a little style to your motorcycle or ATV.

Renthal 520 R3 O-Ring Chain - 120 Links:

Renthal's R3-2 O-ring Chain is a high-strength sealed-ring chain with excellent impact load resistance designed specifically to withstand the stress found in off-road applications where an O-ring chain is desired. This chain is the choice where a combination of high strength, light weight and maximum power transfer are important considerations. • Nitrile O-rings extend chain life by retaining special vacuum-injected grease inside the chain joint.
  • Shot-peened alloy steel side plates for high tensile strength and maximum impact load resistance.
  • High-carbon alloy steel bearing pins for excellent resistance to wear.
  • Gold colored side plates help prevent corrosion.
  • Pre-stretched to enhance performance of the chain.

  • Each chain includes a pair of latex gloves for mess free installation.
  • 120 links.
  • Note: The Renthal R4 chain is supplied with both an easy-fit split master link and a superior solid-pin rivet master link which matches the durability of the chain.

Note for installing O-ring chains: As O-ring chains are wider than standard roller chains, when fitting an O-ring chain to a motorcycle that was fitted with a non O-ring chain as original equipment, it is essential to check that there is proper clearance of the engine cases near the countershaft sprocket and any other places of close contact. Failure to do so could result in damage to the chain and motorcycle and could ultimately cause the chain to fail.

Great Sprockets
I was extremely surprised 5 months after i bought and installed these sprockets, that they are just now starting to saw tooth. The front has wore a little faster than the rear but both have held very well on my 2007 Crf250R.

Its an amazing product
My friend just purchased these about a month ago and put them on his 06' YZ85 and they are awsome sprockets. These are way better than the stock ones. You can feel the difference when riding it. The torque almost throws you off when on the track or trails. Its an affordable product and great product that will last for years.

Not a good buy
The rear sprocket wore really fast on my yz250f i had probably 3-4 hours on it and it was worn out already I have bought a Tag rear sprocket for almost half the price and it is lasting much longer i dont know if i just had a bad one from this company or not i have always liked pro taper products before but as far as rear sprockets go i will not buy another one

Good fit and finish
Way too soon to tell how long they're going to hold up, but fit and finish is excellent. Judging by the apparent quality, I'd be tempted to believe they'll last at least as long as the originals. I've got a year + on a 200XC and a 250XC-F OEM stuff.

Not that good
Only lasted 2 Months riding motox on clay in upstate NY. Stock sunstar rear sprocket lasted longer.

What It Is

The creators of the original "Taperwall" handlebar, Pro Taper is the latest company to proudly step into the wide world of sprockets. Manufactured in Germany to the strict quality standards that have become synonymous with the Pro Taper name, the company's new sprockets are nothing short of top-notch.

Hits

Upon first glance, we were stoked with the rear sprocket's clean, factory-looking magnesium-colored anodized finish, which, for the record, doesn't fade. Underneath all of that, and even more impressive, however, is the fact that each sprocket is precision CNC machined out of heat-treated aluminum, one at a time, to ensure high quality and perfect roundness. In addition, the wellthought- out, computer-designed mud grooves angle away from the faces of the sprocket teeth, ultimately increasing durability and sprocket life. By keeping the integrity of the tooth profile intact, Pro Taper's mud grooves are also said to increase the chain contact area up to 44% over some of its competition. The real proof in the pudding, however, is sprocket life, and the Pro Taper units are built to last. In fact, we've heard from a couple of the professional race teams who have been riding with them all year that they are the longest-lasting sprockets they've ever used! Add to the mix their casehardened, specially coated, corrosion-resistant chromoly steel front sprocket, and you can't go wrong!

The Verdict

They look great, they're of extremely high quality, and they're among the lightest and certainly the most durable sprockets on the market today. Buy a set.
