Price is right

If your on a tight budget its a great buy. but for a few bucks more you could get the Titan throttle tube which blows this one out of the water.

Great throttle tube

Just as you'd expect from Motion Pro. I shaved down the stop ridge so I could slide my grip on further. Works great!

Throttle tube review

Liked the quality of the tube. Not cheap flimsy part. Also worked good with safety wiring grips on.

Best Throttle Tube for any price

I love MP throttle tubes. The Nylon is self lubricating, so there is no gritty feel on the bars when operated. Nearly impossible to break or permanently bend. Won't stop you after an ugly wreck out in the woods. SO MUCH BETTER AND STRONGER THAN AN ALUMINUM TUBE!

A must for a KX250F

Kawasaki vulcanized the grips onto my 2009 KX250F. I found this out the hard way. I spent two hours chipping away the old grip. I thought to myself "there has be an easier way". And there is... throw away the stock throttle tube and use this one with a new grip. Problem solved.

I've had aluminum aftermarket tubes bend in a crash. This plastic piece is stronger than stock and holds up better than any others I've used. Great price too.

Motion pro

fits exactly, had a new throttle tube installed in no time. exact match to oem.

Location: Waxhaw, NC

Ordered for my YZ250F. Did not match stock length. This tube was about 1/4 inch longer than stock. Had to modify to match well with Scott Diamond grips. Strongly considering going with aluminum tube next time.

What is the enter deminsion of throtte tube 7/8?
Expert MotoSport Staff
1 month 11 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
Yes. This throttle tube would fit a 7/8" bar end which is standard on all dirt bike handlebars. Even oversized 1-1/8" dirt bike handlebars have 7/8" ends where the controls would mount up.

Is this the Motion Pro "Titan" throttle Tube?
Its difficult to tell whether this is the Motion Pro "Titan" throttle Tube on offer or the standard Motion Pro OEM replacement throttle tube? Can you please advise? Additionally will these work with Pro Taper bars? Thanks in advance..
MotoSport Staff Expert
3 months 22 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
This is not the "Titan" throttle tube this is just the standard Nylon OEM replacement tube. We do sell the Titan tube as well (see product recommendations). Both the nylon and the Titan Throttle tubes would work perfectly fine with Pro Taper Bars.

1981 honda xr250r throttle cable?
I am buying a 1981 honda xr250r and the throttle cable is missing i have been told that this bike came with two throttle cables am just wondering if you know where i could buy them
MotoSport Staff
1 year ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
I took a look and it appears Honda has discontinued the throttle cables for your 1981 Honda XR250R. I also checked with Motion Pro which is aftermarket cable manufacturer. I did not have a listing from them for your bike. It looks like you will need to have a set of cables made. I would recommend starting with Motion Pro, they can be reached at 650-594-9600.

Will this fix my throttle "Snap"?
when i pull my throttle down and then let go it takes for ever for the bike to go back to idle.... and i know my throttle tube is broke, also my bike is a 93 so could it be something else??
Expert MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: USA
It could be the tube, the throttle cable, carb slide, or even the throttle tube housing. It's not safe to ride with a broken throttle, you're risking injury or even blowing your bike up. I'd suggest taking a look at all 4 components of the throttle and replace what's worn.

If the throttle doesn't return to its regular position then you have to lube your throttle cable or clean the throttle tube and where it sits on the bars. If thats not it then its probably something in your carburator.

if your throttle tube is cracked that could definitely be causing that. same thing happened to me

The throttle tube is definitely the problem.

Does it have end caps that come off?
MotoSport Staff Expert
The end cap on this tube is removable. They lightly glue them in, so with a little pop of a screw driver it's out.

It has and end cap and i guess you can take it off if you want. Its glued on.
