Finally A Long Lasting Sprocket!
450f's these days just eat chains and sprockets up. I was a little skeptical of this twin ring design but it makes perfect sense and the sprocket has indeed lasted much longer than any previous all aluminum rear sprocket I've used. I liked it enough that I ordered a 2nd one for my 250f. The black anodized looks good and holds its color well. These things look really trick as well when you get them in any of the anodized color offerings!

Great sprocket
The twin ring sprocket wears far better than the aluminum sprockets from Rental. It is significantly heavier than the aluminum sprockets but obviously not as heavy as the full steel versions. My little thumper eats through light sprockets so I am pleased with the minimal wear I've seen so far.
Aestheticly, I would like some color choices, but the brushed aluminum and matte steel look aren't too bad. It looks nice with a DID ERT2 gold chain, but every sprocket does.

If your serious about what you ride as far as track, trails or dunes you know that your rear sprocket is going to take major abuse and will eventually be missing teeth. I've always been a fan of the steel sprockets due to the durability, i just didn't have enough money to keep purchasing the more stylish anodized aluminum versions. You might hear of people boasting about the HP gains you get with the lighter sprocket, but seriously unless you're a James Stewart caliber of rider there is no way you're going to notice a less than 1% increase in HP. This twin ring is an awesome compromise of weight reduction and durability. This is the only rear sprocket for any of my bikes!

Its alright...
One of the screws for the outer ring was missing when I got the sproket. It also doesn't stand out too much on the bike. But, it is very lightweight and strong.

Alright
It is a good concept but is no were near the level of the turner or sidewinder sprockets, plus they have a year warrentee

Definetly not a sidewinder
I have always run sidewinder products for the durability and was expecting the same from Renthal. I am retentive about maintenance and stay on top of chain adjustment before EVERY ride. My chain gets adjusted cleaned and lubed every time and I typically get longer wear than my lazier friends. The Renthal did manage to last longer than standard aluminum sprockets but no where near what I expected. I would not purchase it again. 2005 RM250.

Heavy!
Had to send this baby back, so I can't tell you about how it wears, but I can tell you it weighs over double what others weigh. Yeah I know, what's another 300+ grams. To a rather light 450 rider like myself, it means I would rather buy another "regular" chain and sprocket combo as it wears than to spend the extra $ for a sprocket that may last twice as long but weigh twice as much. Three stars because I'm sure it's a quality Rental product that wears well if taken care of, I just didn't expect it to be double the weight.
