Works Everywhere
I race cross country and this is the best tire combination I have found yet. The tire's both get great traction on everything from rocks to sand. This is a great do it all tire combo, since cross country courses have many different surfaces you need a predictible tire that will find traction on anything. And this is it.

Great All Around Tire
I ride about 60% MX and 40% off-road and I think that this tire is a great "do it all tire". Compared to a "MX" tire - this tire delivers far superior performance in off-road conditions. Grip on roots and rocks is great. Compared to an "MX" tire - this tire does tend to kick a bit in big breaking bumps and does flex a bit when cornering....at first I thought I had a flat tire - but I quickly go used to the feeling of the tire. This tire wears very well and is very durable. Outstandig all purpose tire.

The SX tires are great
I have to say the Maxxis SX model tire has got to be the best tire I have ever used I ride off road and motocross and it suits both. Putting this tire on was a real pain but I would say it was well worth it also when the tire gets worn down you can groove the center knobs to make it into more of a motocross tire.

Impressed
This tire (sx) works pretty darn well. I ride hard dry conditions/Slick wet hard conditions @ the track, as well as a plethora of trail conditions in hawaii.. Mud, silt, hard, loose rocks, roots. This tire tackles it all. Very versatile The 90 front has a big footprint and works nice on the hardpack, but will skate a tad in the super loose stuff. The 110 rear is a beast, it shreds everything, I feel very confident and never like the tail end is going to come out from under me. Ordering another set tonight!
