The MotoSport.com Pro-X Piston Kit - 2-Stroke includes one of each of the following components with the following attributes:

Pro-X Piston:

Important note: This piston is for a stock sized bore. Please measure your cylinder to check clearance before ordering.

ProX pistons are precision machined on the latest, state of the art CNC equipment. The same low-expansion, low-friction piston alloy is used as is used for all major Japanese and European engine manufacturers. ProX Piston Kits are a first class solution to replace the original piston in your machine.

Most ProX pistons come with a coating. The O.E.M. style tin-coated pistons assist the wear-in process as when you first started the bike. ProX has developed a new skirt coating that not only assists the wear-in process, but also helps reducing friction after the wear-in. The black coating is made from a delicate mix of materials and will increase performance.

  • Cast piston puts engine back to standard specs without boring or replacing cylinder.
  • Interchanges directly with O.E.M. part.
  • Piston kit comes complete with piston, rings, wrist pin and end clips.

Wiseco Needle Bearing:

The Wiseco Needle Bearing is a high quality replacement wrist pin bearing designed to withstand the harsh demands of racing. Wiseco built their needle bearing to meet or exceed O.E.M. specifications.

Cometic Top End Gasket Kit:

State-of-the-art gaskets is what Cometic has been doing since its inception in 1989. This comes from their dedication to constructing gaskets for the most demanding race circuits like AMA and NASCAR. Today's lightweight engines are producing more horsepower, higher cylinder pressure, clamp load and extreme temperatures. Cometic's commitment is to provide innovative, quality gaskets while maximizing your engine's power and performance.

Cometic meets the needs of each specific gasket by using materials to match. Even the basic top end gasket kit features different materials for each gasket. The head gasket is constructed from non-asbestos, flexible graphite that is laminated to a stainless steel core. The manifold and base gaskets are constructed from non-asbestos nitride rubber-bound fiber. Cometic also includes copper gaskets where needed.

Glad With My Purchase
I had problems with the top-end in my 2001 yz125. I installed a wiseco piston and soon enough I had no compression. The head cap may have been the problem. Anyway, I installed the Pro-X piston to see what would happen. So far it has held up very well. The bike still starts first kick. Motosport was great with shipping too, as always. These piston kits are inexpensive as well, which is great.

You will want to install this piston with the "N" facing the exhaust side of the cylinder on your 2001 CR250R.
